We reserved the Casita cabin for 2 nights. The bed was very comfortable and the cabin was very private. My husband and I and our friends had breakfast at the Grand Central Cafe. The pancakes were fabulous and I had to take some back to the cabin.
We went with our 2 year old granddaughter and had a blast. We stayed in a cabin since the train cars were booked and we loved it. It was very clean and nice. She cannot wait to go back “to the country” to fish and ride in a boat. We stayed for one day to check everything out and we were not disappointed. Can’t wait to go back.
We recently celebrated our anniversary at the Antlers Inn in Kingsland, Texas. Originally built in 1901, the property is filled with Texas history. The accommodations were outstanding (a two-room suite), the facility was clean and sanitized, and Carrie at the front desk was very professional and helpful, all with a smile! Don't forget dinner at the Grand Central Cafe, a very short walk across the quiet street. Recommend the salmon or New York strip. And there is a very nice coffee shop right on site to start your day properly!
Recently stayed at Antler’s Inn in the Drummer’s suite. From arrival to departure we were greeted by friendly smiling employees who made us feel so welcome and appreciated. The quaint little coffee shop was comfortable and inviting. Had a perfectly drawn espresso shot and some very tasty quiche. The restaurant employees were very friendly and attentive. Had a wonderful Philly Cheesesteak Eggs Benedict, make with ribeye steak and croissants. The perfect get away. So close, yet transports you so far away. Can hardly wait to get back there.
We stayed in the Red Caboose at the Antlers Inn. My 3 year old son LOVED it! There was a place he could "drive" the train. The caboose itself was fine. It had bunk beds for kids and a queen sized bed. The bathroom was quite small and did not have anywhere to really put anything, but the kitchen table is right outside the door, so you can set things there. It had a refrigerator, microwave, AC, and TV. It had a place you could climb up to in the caboose with seats where you got a nice view. The only downside to the caboose is it is quite close to a main road, so it was not very quiet. The property itself was fine. It has free kayaks and a small boat you can use, first come first serve basis. It also has a swing set.
Great getaway! So enoyable, quiet and very peacful. Love the feel of the place, it was an unforgettable experience. Rooms are very clean and such charming and comfortable decor. Very cozy. From the inside and out it is all very relaxing. And so much history here. It takes you back in time to an era where life was simple and all your stress seems to just melt away.
This was our first stay at The Antlers Inn, but will NOT be our last. Loved this place. If you're good to stay in the hotel, as for the Texas Writer's Suite... 2 rooms upstairs, quiet with great features. Very enjoyable and relaxing. We were looking for some quiet downtime after Christmas.. this was the perfect spot.
The rooms were excellent and very clean! We only had to cross the street to go to the restaurant and bar. The grounds were amazing! Beautiful! It was also convenient to drive to town and only a short distance to Marble Falls. Very enjoyable, relaxing getaway.
Initially went down for one day and ended up staying two. The whole atmosphere of the place is captivating, from the different types of accommodation to the delicious food served at the restaurant and bar. Overall it was one of the best weekends away we've had in a while and all without breaking the bank.
Stayed at the antlers inn in Kingsland Tx very nice grounds and a nice coffee shop right in the main hotel the room was very spacious and the staff and everyone one else was very friendly. Also visited the house used in the filming of the Texas Chainsaw massacre as it is a restaurant and bar on the hotel grounds
