Some friends and I had a girls weekend at The Captain's Castle and Carriage House Inn. We stayed in the Cottage. It was very clean and rather large for just the 3 of us. There were 2 queen beds and 2 twin recliners that pulled out. Very nice bathroom with shower. The breakfast was DIVINE!!! The hosts were the sweetest...

Very disappointing stay. Room not as clean as it should be. Breakfast disappointing. I have stayed there twice before but it was under different management. The rooms were very run down especially the room we stayed in which was the Captain's Room the windows were rotting the bath tub was leaking and the floors were dirty. The breakfast served was...

We always enjoy our stays with Bill and Angie, and this weekend was no exception! My husband and I have always indulged in Bed and Breakfast weekends. We love Jefferson, and this place has become our "home away from home." For my daughter's 22nd birthday, she requested a weekend here with us and her fiancée. I was excited to introduce...

Angie and Bill are wonderful hosts. Coming to Jefferson has been exactly what my mom and I needed. We stayed in the lavender room and were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent each morning. I enjoyed listening to their stories and always felt welcome. You can tell they take great pride in the house and business they've built. Thank you for...

The town of Jefferson, Texas has more listed historical buildings than any where else in Texas. The Bed & Breakfast not only has rooms in the main house, but has adjacent rooms next to the breakfast area. The breakfast area is large and bright and we were able to meet other guest at breakfast, which we enjoyed very much. The...

Spent a weekend here during the candlelight tour of homes. We had a wonderful time! Bill and Angie were great hosts. We really enjoyed visiting with them and learning about the history of this gorgeous home and the city of Jefferson. Breakfasts both mornings were delicious. The cappuccino / hot chocolate machine was a great unexpected bonus and we loved...

My wife and I have never stayed before at a B&B...and, we travel a lot. So, for a first time out, we picked a wonderful place. The Captain's Castle is a really old house, well located, and perfectly kept. The room we had and the others we looked at were all well furnished, clean and tidy, and comfortably furnished. The...

The rooms are clean and decorated with beautiful antiques. The breakfasts are delicious and you'll leave wanting more of Angie's homemade butter! We've decided to try and make this an annual...

My husband and I had a great, one night stay in the Lavendar Room which is located in the carriage house. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch relaxing with a glass of wine watching spring come alive. This place has a great room for serving breakfast,...

“The cottage would be the most private; noise isn't an issue in any room.”

“The Heritage room is HUGE, with a gorgeously remodeled bathroom. The trains are ever present in Jefferson - you can hear them all night long. Captain's Castle provides a fan in each room for white noise to block the sounds of the trains. It works!”
