Very disappointing stay. Room not as clean as it should be. Breakfast disappointing. I have stayed there twice before but it was under different management. The rooms were very run down especially the room we stayed in which was the Captain's Room the windows were rotting the bath tub was leaking and the floors were dirty. The breakfast served was... We always enjoy our stays with Bill and Angie, and this weekend was no exception! My husband and I have always indulged in Bed and Breakfast weekends. We love Jefferson, and this place has become our "home away from home." For my daughter's 22nd birthday, she requested a weekend here with us and her fiancée. I was excited to introduce... More

Angie and Bill are wonderful hosts. Coming to Jefferson has been exactly what my mom and I needed. We stayed in the lavender room and were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent each morning. I enjoyed listening to their stories and always felt welcome. You can tell they take great pride in the house and business they've built. Thank you for... More

The town of Jefferson, Texas has more listed historical buildings than any where else in Texas. The Bed & Breakfast not only has rooms in the main house, but has adjacent rooms next to the breakfast area. The breakfast area is large and bright and we were able to meet other guest at breakfast, which we enjoyed very much. The... More

Spent a weekend here during the candlelight tour of homes. We had a wonderful time! Bill and Angie were great hosts. We really enjoyed visiting with them and learning about the history of this gorgeous home and the city of Jefferson. Breakfasts both mornings were delicious. The cappuccino / hot chocolate machine was a great unexpected bonus and we loved... More

My wife and I have never stayed before at a B&B...and, we travel a lot. So, for a first time out, we picked a wonderful place. The Captain's Castle is a really old house, well located, and perfectly kept. The room we had and the others we looked at were all well furnished, clean and tidy, and comfortably furnished. The... A group of 18 ladies from our church stayed for the second time and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Bill & Angie are GREAT hosts and you won't be disappointed. The rooms are clean and decorated with beautiful antiques. The breakfasts are delicious and you'll leave wanting more of Angie's homemade butter! We've decided to try and make this an annual... Beautiful place, beautiful people who run it. Breakfast was yummy and they were very friendly. The owner also makes home made all organic soap.. Got me one and love it. 😉😆 it is also a very short walk to the historic downtown.

My husband and I had a great, one night stay in the Lavendar Room which is located in the carriage house. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch relaxing with a glass of wine watching spring come alive. This place has a great room for serving breakfast,... More

We've stayed at Captain's Castle twice now. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Jefferson, now, and we've stayed at several of the Bed and Breakfasts, Inns, and the historic hotels. The rooms are spacious, yet cozy, and the home is simply beautiful! The breakfasts are hearty and delicious - this trip, my favorite was Angie's Pecan Praline French Toast.... More
