This hotel was very comfy and vintage. The staff was very friendly and informational. The beds were comfortable too. We stayed early Dec before the crowd came in for the Christmas train activities. The only thing I did not like were the nightly trains that go through there all night long blowing their horns and then the local church bells...

A small group of us stayed one night at this historic hotel during a motorcycle trip. There is a lot of history in the lobby that is worth exploring. We were greeted by a very nice lady behind the desk. The dining area and porch were used for breakfast. Very elegant. The breakfast is pretty straight forward. If the weather...

We liked staying here at the hotel. Our room was in the historical section of the hotel. We just stayed one night here but the staff was nice . Only issue we had was the mattress was a little old so whenever one of us moved we were almost rolling right off the bed.

We always stay at The Excelsior House when visiting Jefferson. The rooms are comfortable and you can pick your room online if it's available during your travel dates. The website shows the room and give details about the type of bed(s) and the bathrooms. The hotel is well maintained by the Garden Club. The staff is always friendly and are...

Then the Excelsior is for you. We stayed one night in Room 201. The hotel is a great old building with a lot of history. My wife and I seek out these types of places so the review is not Caucasus I expected a modern hotel. Check-in was uncomfortable. We arrived at 2:50PM, check-in is at 3PM. And so is...

Stayed here for 1 night during the Jefferson Haunting Convention. We stayed in room 205 which was very cute. The room itself was very quiet and comfortable. White comforters on the bed reassured me that the bedding was clean. Ice machine was easily accessible. The TV only had 5 stations and since there isn't much to do in this town...

The Excelsior House is a wonderful historic hotel that has hosted presidents and some of the wealthiest people in the country. It is wonderfully preserved to retain it's glorious character from the days when Jefferson was one of the wealthiest cities in the country. We stayed in the Lady Bird Suite and it was extremely comfortable. The bed and furniture...

We stayed in the Jay Goulde room and it was very quiet. There is a musty smell but we brought some air freshener so problem solved. If you play Pokemon Go that room sits on top of 3 Pokestops. The staff were very friendly and make you feel welcome. The hotel is filled with antique furniture and lots of history....

I stayed in the Lady Bird Suite and wish it was for more than just one night. The bed and room were gorgeous. The shower and bathroom were a little tight but not a problem at all. The grounds, the historic photos, items and house itself are worth the trip out here. The plantation breakfast was so good, wish I...
