La Paz Bed and Breakfast was called the "best kept secret in Southeast Texas" by the Road Trippin' program on Beaumont's KBTV Fox 4. Located in the Angelina National Forest, La Paz is an 1900's style elegant farmhouse situated on 8 1/2 park-like acres with 650 feet of Angelina River frontage. In this house, guests will enjoy luxurious suites with private baths, modern conveniences (wifi and satellite TV) and gourmet breakfasts each morning. Outside they will delight in the oversized porches or sitting on the riverside decks and floating docks watching the river roll by - or rolling with it in the complimentary kayaks. La Paz also features a century-old log cabin that has been brought up to the 21st century with its own kitchen and dining room.

Enjoyed the cabin by the river, The property is located in a beautiful location on the Angelina River. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the great hospitality from the owners at the La Paz bed and breakfast. This will be on our to do again list.

La Paz is the perfect home base to enjoy the Big Thicket of East Texas. It is remote -allowing for a peaceful escape while enjoying all of the creature comforts you would expect from any B&B (including a great breakfast and home-baked cookies throughput the day). The setting is beautiful and the rooms/home is/are lovely. We actually weren't dissppointed that our hiking/fishing plans were changed by the rain - we had plenty of time to enjoy fabulous areas created for relaxation on the porch. Many thanks to Paul and Anne for creating such a wonderful retreat.

Man that was some rain wasn’t it? Over 5 inches one day. We’re so glad you found La Paz to your liking even when wet. Thank you so much for your kind review. We hope you will return when the weather is dryer. I owe you a pontoon trip to see the bald eagles. Peace A&p

This is the perfect let your hair down getaway spot. It is nestled back in the woods along the Angelina River with river access. It's a beautiful setting with great service. They make sure you have what you need and are very welcoming. We were hesitant at first about a bed and breakfast. It seemed weird to stay at someones house and eat breakfast with them, but this is our second time to LaPaz and we would do it again. There is no awkwardness and the place is spacious and beautiful! They have some loaner Kayaks and a canoe to paddle down the river in which is just a very comfortable, peaceful and Scenic spot. The porch is amazing and there are several places all around in the woods in which you could just sit and enjoy while reading a book or not. No pressure no fuss. We took in a bit of antique shopping at the Rusty Rooster in town. There are a couple of good restaurants in the area to get some meals or there is a guest fridge off the kitchen if you want to bring some food. Everything is clean and well maintained

My mom, daughter and I came for mothers day weekend. It couldn't have been any better! My daughter fed the fish, Paul gave us a tour of the amazing house. We stayed in the cabin on the property. I grilled out, we took a little hike to see all of the neat little things along the way ( a BIG butterfly and a robot). We swang on the big outdoor bed and read books. Really it couldn't have been any better. Thank you Paul and Anne, we love La Paz!!

What an amazing place! We stayed in the log cabin (with all modern amenities) , we had our own private dock to fish and enjoy the river. The cabin is cozy with plenty of space. Internet service is spotty and slow being on the river, but that was a plus for us as it forced us to put our phones down and socialize together, play cards and just unwind. ( for those who 'need' internet, it is there you just have to be patient lol)
