We were not expecting to stay in Dallas, but our flight to Denver got diverted due to bad weather. Given a stressful flight experience, we were very happy to arrive at the Westin. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room spacious, clean and quiet. Nice bar and restaurant area, with very good food.
Mets Westin standards. Clean room, very spacious, Starbucks in hotel, good bar. Very close to the airport. Staff was attentive and I had a pleasant stay. Normal for the most part. Didn’t see a lot of masks and open from my perspective. Will stay again.
I am a commuting airline employee. I frequently stay at this location--several times a month throughout the year. The customer service here is impeccable. The staff is top notch. They have become like family to me. Bright, shining, welcoming faces who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and valued. Omar, Sundip, Bradley, Megan in the Byrn Grille. Stellar folks. The entire front desk--Lilly, Gailea, my girls--every one of them--always taking care of me with positive attitudes and absolute sincerity--even helped me during a family emergency (thank you, Kassandra). The airport shuttle crew--the best dispositions--they greet me by name and are always there to retrieve me within 15 minutes of requesting a pick up. Whatever customer service training and hiring practices this particular Westin uses should be the Gold Standard for the entire Marriott collective. The Westin DFW is my home away from home and I cannot commend the staff enough for their authenticity and commitment to customer service.…
The hotel is pretty. The bar was great. But … I got zero sleep. Freeway noise (and I was on the 13th floor) was dreadful. Up all night. After a sleepless night I showered to discover my room lacked a blow dryer. Huh????? I didn’t have the time to call the desk so that’s as unfortunate. According to others I asked their room did come with one. But mine didn’t. And after a horrible night of sleep- it was a rough way to leave. If I had to stay at Dallas airport again I’d likely pick this hotel. But be mindful of room location and amenities. I left a very tired traveler
I will say the service at the Westin has been phenomenal words can’t even describe the experience I’ve had from the bar being taking care of by Megan and her awesome drink to Ingrid and her exceptional service in the restaurant to lily and her beauty and kindness at the front desk and the general manager Dione was mind blowing they went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and at home I will say if I’m in Dallas there is no other hotel I would even look at everything was beyond perfect I recommend to all my friends and family if you don’t know you better go find out
I stay here several times a month. I am a platinum bonvoy member and cannot say enough about the staff at this hotel. Halle has such a bright personality and is very professional. She really puts a smile on the faces of the customers at the Westin. Dannyfer is so helpful and kind as well. Both of them really do their best to meet the needs of the customers at this hotel. Even under pressure and with upset travelers, it is apparent they truly care and try to do their best. The rooms are clean and always ready, the beds are super comfortable. The gym is top notch. The restaurant staff is great as well. It is nice to see the lounge back up and running. I cannot fail to mention that the drivers KT, Tony, Shannon and Roderick are always efficient and helpful. KT is a gem and remembers the frequent travelers. Such a nice thing to see in this day and age. Great location, not just for airport needs!…
I have been staying here every year after Thanksgiving for 8 years and this was by far the worst stay. It wasn’t just one thing but a combination of poor customer service and poor attitudes by employee’s. The good: Rooms have updated technology and modern look/feel. The beds are comfortable. The bad: Room not cleaned 100% after last use. Found used q-tips in bathroom on the floor by the toilet, bottle of half used soda in the fridge. Restaurant host was rude. I asked if we could order food to go and he said “you could just go to the bar and order it from there but whatever I guess I will take your order”. Airport Shuttle driver was rude in the morning when trying to catch the shuttle. He was more worried about the “contract” that is had with the airlines. He said his priority is taking them to the airport. The price is fair for the quality of stay you get. Just expected more as it is my go to location but guess we will to change it up next time.…
Ingrid, Josue and the team at the bar were absolutely exceptional, prompt and sweet! Their mixed drink Duke City was the perfect balance of sweet and booze! Ingrid was incredibly nice, caring and very knowledgeable! By far one of my best hotel restaurant experiences I’ve ever had! I tipped well to let em know how excellent the service was and I hope you do the same!
This hotel has potential but is in need of renovation. The staff is friendly and the lobby is nice. But the beds and furniture need to be replaced. The surrounding area also isn't great. There is a Denny's and a gas station within walking distance, but not much more.
I attended a small conference at this hotel. The beds were comfy, the staffers were courteous and helpful, the food was pretty good by large-scale banquet standards, and the airport shuttle was prompt and complimentary. Lobby and meeting spaces were fresh and appealing, but my room was tired. Everything worked, but the decor and fixtures looked worn and the room, although clean, didn't have that spotless feeling. The window was noticeably dirty on the outside. In the age of COVID, something should be done to make stairs a usable option to elevators; the Westin's stairways are the "security" kind that dump you out at an alarmed emergency exit -- no way to exit to the first floor. And the night before I checked out, I noticed that the carpet on the "unused" side of the bed was soaking wet. To her credit, when I mentioned it at checkout, the manager on duty seemed sufficiently chagrined, said it was probably an A/C leak, and promised to send someone up right away now that the room had been vacated. I'll also ding this hotel for offering zero lunch options. The hotel restaurant isn't open for lunch, there are no grab-and-go lunch options at the in-hotel Starbucks, they weren't offering room service because of the pandemic, and the only eatery within easy walking distance for the time-pressed is Denny's. Fortunately GrubHub came to the rescue, but I've never before encountered a "full service" hotel that had absolutely no options available for lunch. Finally, I was a bit concerned about noise because my room faced both a freeway and the DFW arrival runways. The noise was audible, but fortunately arrivals and departures traffic seemed to cease overnight because my sleep was not disturbed.…
