We stayed at The Wrangler for the Memorial Day weekend. There were 4 adults and one teenager. The cabin was clean and the furniture was sturdy. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, bowls, utensils and the appliances were clean and relatively new. The bathroom in the larger bedroom was very nice with a shower and looked to have been recently remodeled. The other bathroom was much older and directly behind the kitchen, but had a nice tub and was large with a lot of counter space. Both bedrooms have king beds. The larger bedroom has a patio. The cabin has a lovely front porch with chairs and a swing to sit and enjoy the view. We could see the pool and the pavilion and the lovely hills. Roddy Tree ranch was ideal because there were lots of activities to do and grounds to walk within the ranch. Everyone was friendly. There is a tunnel access to the river and canoes to use. It is an ideal place for getting away. It is also convenient to Fredericksburg and Kerrville is just down the road. We will definitely plan to go again.

I stayed at the Tree House unit. It was spotless! Every need was accounted for: coffeepot, hairdryer, soaps, etc. There were plenty of soft, fluffy towels, extra pillows, and blankets. This lodging is conveniently located near all major attractions in the area, yet it is tucked away off the main road for a peaceful night's rest. You can't beat it!

My family (wife and 2 kids) and I stayed in the WRANGLER cabin for a week and it was pure paradise for us. The cabin fit us all handily, and we had everything we needed - full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, Internet hookup and TV. The room was perfectly clean and not a single bug was to be found. The pool was wonderful for the kids and the staff could not have been friendlier. We had no concerns at all for safety as the cabins are spread all over the ranch. The kids had a ball - visiting the donkeys, feeding the ducks, and exploring. We will make the Roddy Tree an annual event! Thank-you to Keith, Mike and the rest of the people that keep it going.

Green Gables house was fabulous for our 5 night stay. Huge deck overlooking the pond. The swimming pools were sparkling and we greatly enjoyed the river. Canoed and kayak. Day to trip to Enchanted Rock and Fredericksburg were so much fun. Had dinner at Billy Genes in Ingram and it was terrific.

This was our 2nd time to visit. We love how quite it is, the scenery, wildlife, cute cabins! We stayed in the Roost. It was very nice and peaceful. Enjoyed our time on the patio and the cabin was very clean. It had everything we needed and we didn't want to leave. We will be back when we can utilize the pool and the river to its fullest.

We went for the concert on New Year's eve and had a blast. Texas Country Swing and then an awesome rock band ( Roddy Tree Owner is a fabulous entertainer!!!)
Cute idea to have cook your own hot dogs. We were early so things were a bit chaotic but didn't ruin the fun.

Our annual girlfriends trip was spent at the Roost. Cabin was clean and ready for us. Any issue we had was immediately addressed by Michael. Needed some coffee and Michael was so open to adding it to his Walmart run…Television was our only drawback. Bring Senior ladies, Smart TV, Roku not easy technology for us. That was our only drawback. Would go again if the occasion came up..

I believe the owners of Roddy Tree Ranch do not run an honest business and I think it is best to avoid doing business with them.

A long story short, we spoke with the owner who personally agreed upon honoring an expired groupon. The amount paid for the groupon was $258 for a 3 night, 2 day stay. We then called the front desk to schedule, they confirmed they knew about the arrangement, and they took down my credit card information. This was to keep a deposit of $149.85 to be refunded after the stay. Later that month when I reviewed my statement I was shocked to see a second charge for $149.85 made to my credit card two weeks after the initial charge. We called Roddy Tree Ranch back to ask about the charges and they claimed they said they would only honor a single day. This for starters, did not even equal the paid value of the groupon which does not expire until 2018.

I will do my part to ensure that my experience is known via every channel possible.

In my opinion, consumers should avoid companies who falsely represent themselves to customers, overcharge them and try and get away with it. Many large corporations are being charged for this in recent times and it's sad to feel that way about a smaller operation which I wanted to have faith in.

Also, we did not get a bottle of wine with our stay as the groupon stated. My opinion is to hate this place with all my being.

I think you will be able to tell by most of our other reviews that this disgruntled guest was way off base. The person who wrote this review did not make the reservation. His friend talked directly to me and all of his information is second hand. I did not say I would honor a coupon that was several months expired. I did offer her a three night for the price of two stay during our peak season of which she accepted. I am sorry that the reviewer was misinformed and has used this platform to bad mouth my business and me personally. We have been in business for almost 20 years and I adhere to the old saying my Grandfather taught me, "always tell the truth, then you don't have to remember what you said." Thanks for reading.

This is a great getaway to take family, children and friends! This place features cute country cottages in hill country with all of the very much needed amenties that a city girl like myself needs! They provide little things for you like kitchenware, appliances, toliet paper, trash bags, you name what you forgot and it is there. The activities were plentiful for the kids and the adults: fishing pond, Guadalupe river, basquetball courts, gameroom, swimming pools, arcade, petting zoo and a mini blockbuster in the office! Management was super nice and helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer!

I told the receptionist at Roddy Tree Ranch that we would be driving in from Dallas and would be arriving late. When we got there, a key was in the box along with a map that was so old and worn out that it was illegble. The cabins are stread out over the ranch and there are no road markings. I was reduced to stopping at a cabin with the lights on and knocking on the door at 11:00 at night.... not a very comfortable thing to do.

After getting instructions, I located my cabin and guess what.... it wasn't a cabin at all but a mobile home with a built on front porch. 400 sq ft max!

The employees were nice but painfully unable to help. I never met the owners in the three days that I was there.

There are many very nice retreats in the hill country. I wouldn't include Roddy Tree Ranch among them!

I'm so sorry to hear about this. While our office does close at 6, we should have made sure that the map we provided was more legible for you to read at night. Furthermore, I'm sorry that you were not impressed with your accommodations. I feel that there was some miscommunication upon reserving your room. I apologize for your experience, and I hope that you'll give us another try soon. Best, Keith, Owner
