Chose to stay here the weekend of the downtown concert of Elton John and it was the best decision I have made in a long time! Prefect room! Friendly staff! Didn't have to worry about making it home as we were able to Uber to the venue close by! Will definitely be making anther trip to stay here again!
I just wanted to say how nice my recent stay was. The staff at the desk were super helpful to all my needs. I arrived on the train and needed help with all sorts of things. The room was absolutely fine and vitally, quiet. The dining option for breakfast and dinner was absolutely excellent. I visited the city to go to the Space Center - easy by bus just 100m from the hotel. $2! Left feeling really well looked after and really appreciating Texan hospitality. Bravo! Thank you.
I chose the Whitehall for a last second date night treat with my wife after a long week of work. I was able to seamlessly book the same day, and the lobby manager John answered the phone promptly and answered any questions I had as well. He provided excellent service. The location is a 10 minute walk to a lot of midtown bars and restaurants. The lobby is beautiful and our deluxe room was spacious and very clean. The TV could have been a bit larger for how far away it was from the bed, but that is really my only minor complaint. The price was competitive and I feel like the Whitehall provided a good value for the overall experience, and I'd most likely book here in the future.
This hotel was EXCELLENT!!! Everything was right there at the hotel, I really enjoyed my stay! Beautiful on the inside and outside of the hotel. Staff and Valet were very professional, helpful, and courteous. I’ll be booking The Whitehall again, soon
Where do I even begin with this review? I should start by saying that I almost NEVER leave a positive review for anything but today, I definitely feel compelled to do so. First of all, I booked our stay at The Whitehall Hotel in Houston several months ago so that I could take my daughter, and her best friend, to a concert at the Warehouse Live on December 7th 2021. After browsing through Hotels.com for several days I finally settled on The Whitehall Hotel because the pictures were beautiful and it was less than 10 minutes from the concert venue. ( I don’t drive well at night and I had to drop them off and pick them up in the dark) On December 6th, I called the hotel to ask about how far the Galleria mall was from the hotel because, after all I had 2 teenagers with me and we had some down time before the concert. John Flores answered the phone and I could hear nothing but pure joy in his voice. He almost sounded excited to be talking to one of his customers. You could “hear” the smile on his face. He answered my question and asked if there was anything else that he could help me with. At that time, there wasn’t. I decided that later that evening that I would call to ask if there was any chance that he would be able to upgrade our room if their were any larger rooms available and AGAIN, he answered the phone with a smile in his voice. “Yes,” he would be more than happy to do so because he had some extra rooms available. The “kids” were so excited to get to Houston and see the hotel because they thought that this was probably going to be a “too good to be true” situation because we are almost ALWAYS let down with EVERY hotel that we have stayed out over the years. To the point that we dread staying at hotels lately. We drove from New Braunfels to Houston on December 7th. Arriving in Houston at 10:30 am, we started our day off at the Galleria. We finished there at about 1:00 pm and really just wanted to rest before they wanted to get ready for the concert so I called The Whitehall Hotel and spoke with the lady at the desk. I believe her name was Shde (sp.) She had the same smile in her voice as Mr. John Flores had. I asked if there was anyway at all that we could register early because check in wasn’t until 3 pm. She said that we definitely could because there were rooms that were clean and ready so we could just head over that way. YAY!! We drove the 15 minutes to the hotel, from the Galleria Mall, and pulled right up to the front door. We were greeted by the Valet who I believe was Steve. He wore that smile on his face like it was a badge of honor. After being greeted by him, we headed into the lobby and were greeted by Shde. She welcomed us like we were family. She acknowledged that she remembered talking to me on the phone and had our room ready to go. BTW, she was wearing that same smile that I heard while talking to her on the phone. The kids and I made our way up to the room for a quick rest. We walked into the room and, as we do in every room we go into, we had to inspect every inch of the room. It was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It also had a great view of downtown. Everything was perfect. However, tonight would be the true test because we would have to see if the beds (and pillows)were comfortable enough for us to be able to sleep through the night. At about 3:45, I received a call from Mr. John Flores. He was simply calling to ask how our room was and if we were satisfied? WHAT?? I was floored. I have stayed at my fair share of hotels in my time and never once has anyone EVER asked me if we were satisfied. He even addressed me by my name at all times or even by Madame. I LOVED that. We got some much needed rest and decided that we would just wait and have dinner at the hotels restaurant when they opened at 4 so that we wouldn’t have to drive around looking for someplace else to eat. At 4 pm we headed to the hotels patio to eat at their restaurant, Part & Parcel. There was a pretty long line of businessmen that had apparently just gotten off of work and wanted to gather for some drinks. I noticed that there were no servers available so I asked Adam, the bartender, if it would be easier for him if we just ordered our food, waited for it, and took it back to our room to eat. He already looked exhausted (he just served about 35-40 businessmen ahead of us) and he told me that that would be totally fine. He said that it would be about a 10 minute wait. No problem. We waited probably less than 10 minutes, got our food, and headed upstairs to our room. I wasn’t expecting much because hotel food isn’t always the best. I was wrong. We all ordered something different and we all loved what we ordered. SO DELICIOUS! We were glad that we chose to eat at the hotel. I dropped the kids off at their concert then came back to the room so that I could get a break from the kids.😉 They called me to pick them up at about midnight so I headed that way, picked them up and then returned back to our room. We were all exhausted and were definitely looking forward to, hopefully, having a much needed good night’s sleep. All 3 of us hit the pillows and were out within minutes. We set our alarms for 8:30 am to get an early start. When the alarm went off, none of us wanted to get out of bed because we all were SOOOOO comfortable. Agreeing that the beds at the Whitehall Hotel were the ABSOLUTE MOST comfortable beds that we have EVER slept in. The pillows were also the most comfortable pillows that we have EVER slept on! It was SUPER hard to get started for the day. We gathered all of our belongings to head home. Made our way down to the lobby to turn in our keys. Shde greeted us by name (which amazes me that they all remembered our names) and thanked us for choosing The Whitehall Hotel with that constant smile in her voice. Headed out to load up our car, Mr. Steve and Mr. Mbaerk brought our car up and even loaded it for us. They thanked us for staying with them and wished us a Merry Christmas. We got into our car and sadly drove away. Usually when we stay at a hotel, we can’t wait to leave but not this time. We hated to leave because they literally made us feel like family. I have never felt more welcomed at a hotel that I did here. From the day before we arrived, until the day we left, this hotel was nothing but class. I definitely have a new favorite hotel when we travel to Houston. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!…
