We arrived on a Saturday afternoon over Memorial Day weekend. The Westin Galleria hotel entrance was busy with a wedding reception, conference attendees, families, and guests of all ages coming and going. It seemed like the place to be! We appreciated the clean, inviting lobby, helpful staff, and available free parking (we opted for the brown garage directly next door.) The hotel being conected to the Galleria mall was a hit with our teenagers. They also liked the on property gym with updated workout equipment. Their only letdown about the hotel was the 5th floor outdoor pool. It appeared clean, but was uninviting with concrete all around, and no atmosphere. It could be a nice pool to enjoy if it were more appealing. Our room was nice and had adequate space for our family of 4 during our 1 night stay. Beautiful clean Room. Nice lobby with bar. Friendly staff. Close to everything AND basically inside the Galleria mall! I was here for a work conference and even the Conference rooms were beautiful. The Bartender Jamie was amazing. She was friendly and welcoming! You all have a great employee in her!!! One thing I thought was ehhh. Was the pool. It was just basic. And no hot tub.

On one of the busiest weekends of the year, the staff did a decent job handling the crowds. My room was not ready at the expected check in time, however aside from that, there were no issues staying here. I would consider again if being near the Galleria area is desired.

Westin Galleria hotel is BY FAR the best of the best. From the moment you walk in you are treated like royalty From the check in, housekeeping, bar and restaurant. This review is entirely about the valet employee, Dildar. He saved my life! After driving 6+ hours from Dallas through the ice storm, I put my window down for a second about 2.5 hours in, and it wouldn’t go back up. I was freaking out! I was freezing and crippled with anxiety. I did stop at a dealership once I got close to Houston to see if they could help me but they didn’t have time nor a loaner to give me so I just went straight to the hotel. I pulled up through the valet, a total mess, apologizing for the condition of my vehicle and asked if I could just check in quickly and I would self park. Dildar, kindly and calmly, asked me what happened to the window, I told him the story, and that I was in town for medical appts I couldn’t miss. He asked me to come with him inside, we stopped at the concierge where his manager, George was sitting. Dildar explained my situation and asked if the daily valet fee could be waived and if he could secure it in “the cage”, George without hesitating said absolutely! I couldn’t believe it. They unloaded my car, and escorted me to my room. Shortly after I got a call from George saying Dildar got my window up! I was in shock, even in tears (I tried everything to no avail)! While it was a temporary fix, it made all the difference. He made my crazy and scary day, more than ok. Having people who truly care, and have a servants heart, are so rare these days. I wanted to make sure Dildar was recognized for his intention, and kind heart. I will never forget it. Thank you. …

Just stayed three nights and was really disappointed with the hotel. The front desk staff are the most unfriendly, unwelcoming I have come across in a while but any hotel that offers a club lounge but doesn’t actually fully operate one is taking your money for nothing. To their credit when I raised the issue Management were straight on to it and reduced the room rate but the problem is I wanted access to a club lounge, that’s the only reason I booked that hotel. Rooms are fine and the location if you like shopping in a mall is brilliant so lots of good things if they can just get the rest right.

The Club Lounge is currently open Monday - Friday, we serve a GREAT breakfast each morning between 6:30AM - 9:00 AM and do provide complimentary beverages and snacks throughout the day and early evening. This was our 2nd stay at this hotel for a convention. Mostly the hotel is fine and what you’d expect of a Westin. Bell services were very helpful. Unfortunately, housekeeping stole a pair of shoes from our room. We are completely certain the shoes were in the room when we last left it and only housekeeping entered the room before we returned and they were gone. They were nothing particularly special but we’d only brought my daughter 2 pair of shoes for our short stay so pretty inconvenient. I know to lock up valuables but shoes? So very odd. The hotel wasn’t concerned, just said they didn’t see anything on the cameras (did they expect to?). We will try the Westin Oaks next year; we will skip a hotel where petty thievery is considered acceptable. We weren’t the only guests with missing items; another guests AirPods were stolen from their room this same weekend.…
