We had to get out during the pandemic and had a delightful staycation at the Lancaster Hotel in downtown Houston. Located in the heart of the Theatre District, it is a beautiful old boutique hotel with original art from many Texas artists. We stayed in one of the Artist Suites and it was perfect; spacious and comfortable. Fantastic staff and great amenities. We were particularly pleased that their hotel restaurant, F&B Cultivated, had just re-opened and we were fortunate to get a dinner reservation. This is one of our very favorite restaurants in the city and we cannot recommend it highly enough for dinner before a concert, play or ballet. Our waiter, David, was very friendly and efficient. Delicious food and great service.

Hotel's Favorite
This was my first and hopefully not my last stay at the stunning hotel. My room included stunning art work, luxurious bath toiletries, yummy COMPLEMENTARY snacks and ultra comfy bed. Upon my arrival to my room, I was greeted with a complimentary cheese plate to welcome my stay. Once I was able to get settled into my room, I headed downstairs to the restaurant to meet up with a friend for lunch. I decided the try the Lancaster salad and oh my goodness, that was the MOST delicious salad, I've ever tasted. The service at our meal was so amazing that we decided to head to the bar to continue our visit. At the bar we tried the Candied Pecan Old Fashion drink...sooo delicious! The hotel stay included the most delicious breakfast, complete with eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, fruits, oatmeal and various breads and pastries, all complimentary and part of your stay. The hotel more than exceeded my expectations and made sure every tiny detail was taken care of. HIGHLY recommend The Lancaster Hotel

Our firm has an office in Houston and when we travel there we typically stay at the Lancaster. Well, I haven't been to our offices since March and it was time to go. I booked at the Lancaster. If you have not seen the hotel since its renovation, it looks amazing. Service is top notch. They upgraded me to an artist suite which was large and comfortable. The restaurant was not open, but you can order anything you want for breakfast from room service. I actually found that enjoyable. I highly recommend the Lancaster.

Visited with my family and everything was superb from the moment we arrived til the moment we checked out. They took care of everything, no matter the time of the day. Their restaurant is a must try, we loved the cocktails. Last but not least, the beds! OMG, they were sooo comforting.

Beautiful hotel with original art throughout. Every employee we met was polite and helpful. We also got to meet several of the managers--very informative about the hotel. The room was very clean and had plenty of space; bed was quite comfortable. The restaurant just reopened this weekend--we had a delicious breakfast both days. We hope to come back again soon...and try for dinner.
