Mr. Russel was me and my friends help for the night, and he was wonderful! He was incredibly funny and directed us where we needed to go, and was more than helpful in setting the reservation. The rooms were incredibly nice.

The Lancaster is a superb, boutique type hotel in the theater district. Staff are very friendly. Rooms very comfortable with quality furnishings and fittings. Bar and restaurant on the ground floor was good (great barman...) and a free car service is provided for local trips. If we ever get back to Houston...this is the only place to stay.

I attended a soiree one spring night till early in the morning. I was in the company of others and red was spilling all over our all white wardrobe. The piano was so inviting. I amazed many but in reality I was only drunk and inexperienced on the ivories. Do you think they all really noticed?

Great hotel in the middle of the theater and performance arts district within short walk to the Alley, Symphony, Opera, Ballet and other venues. Redecorated rooms with a wonderful ambiance. Excellent restaurant with great food and good wine list. Friendly staff.

The Lancaster is perfectly situated downtown in the theatre district of Houston. It was only a 5 minute walk to the downtown Aquarium where we planned dinner and only 5 minutes from the Theatre for us to watch the Nutcracker. Our room was very clean and comfortable. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. It was... More

The Lancaster is located within the theatre district of downtown Houston. The hotel excels in making their guests feel like they are welcomed. The rooms are well appointed - with big comfortable beds. The free wifi is fast. The free breakfast was from a menu. I would have preferred if the breakfast was a buffet. The valet parking was good... More

My wife and I bought tickets to a production at the Alley Theater and decided to spend the night. We chose the Lancaster for the good reviews and convenience. We were very pleased with our stay. It is literally across the street from the theater, so it could not be more convenient, and we found the stay very nice. Friendly,... More

My wife and I spent our anniversary night there on Nov. 5th, 2016. From the moment we stepped into the lobby we were hooked. The gentleman working the check in was beyond nice and accommodating. We had had a long day and I was battling a stomach bug so all we really wanted was to get to our room and... More

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has been renovated recently but still retains its historic charm. Walking distance to several restaurants, entertainment and theaters. Perfect for those who like to walk to their venues.
