Couldn't be more disappointed with our experience at the hotel here for NYE 2022... The whole reason we booked our stay was to stay at the club Saturday... Had I at least known I would have went first thing in the morning to use it before it closed... I would not stay at this hotel ever again and would not recommend it to anyone for the price...

I went down to thank Marc, the manager at the front desk, for the special attention they gave my mom... I was fortunate to book my group (about 30 people) at the Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa recently, as we were in Houston for the Final Four... The club/gym is a members-facility where hotel guests have free access... What really separates the Houstonian from most other hotels is the staff... Led by Steve Fronterhouse (General Manager), the level of customer service is extraordinary... The team assigned to me and my group (Jason Bailey – Senior Sales Manager, and Meliza Rodriquez - Conference Services Manager) were outstanding... From contract signing to oversight of my group when we were on property, they made the process seamless and everyone in my group was thoroughly impressed... Other hotel staff members of particular note were Chris (front desk), Tino (valet), Franco (Bar Manager), Edwart (Server), and Alessandra (Food & Beverage Director)... They, and many others, made a special effort to provide outstanding customer service to me and my group... Some examples are (1) Steve, the General Manager, personally driving me to a nearby restaurant to meet my group for dinner when he noticed I was waiting for an Uber driver who was running very late; (2) Alessandra having her staff get oat milk for a guest even though the particular restaurant did not offer oat milk as an option; (3) Franco having a designated area assigned to my group in the bar and letting us pre-order food so it was ready when we arrived after the game... I could go on, but the message is clear – Steve and his staff go above and beyond for their hotel guests... I noticed the staff providing this level of service to many other guests... I will continue go stay there and recommend it to my family and friends...

Had a business conference here last week and I can't say enough great things about this resort. I was on the conference planning team and dealt extensively with the banquet team, led by Meliza Rodriguez who was extremely responsive both before and during the conference... Many times I would email for assistance and they were on top of it immediately... We used some of the amenities at the club including the pool, restaurant, basketball court and a lot of our attendees got services at the Trellis Spa...

However, the service and quality of food were impressive, and I felt fine paying based on that... A security guard said they closed at 2 pm (this was about 2:30 pm)... When we booked the room, we got an email touting the hotels club and spa amenities... The night before, when we checked in, the hotel staff was mentioning how awesome the pools have been with the warmer weather and that we should check it out Saturday... On the website, the Saturday hours said 6 am to 9 pm... When I talked to the staff about it, I was offered a free breakfast the next morning, a nice gesture but we weren't able to take advantage of it (already had outside breakfast plans that morning) and in no way did that make up for the ruined experience... Had I at least known I would have went first thing in the morning to use it before it closed...

We love this hotel and go back each year as a family. When the weather isn't super cold like it was in this recent trip (Christmas 2022) the grounds are amazing for walking, swimming, enjoying the spa and health club... The rooms are newly renovated and very comfortable... Even the sofa beds are quite comfortable... The food here is wonderful and the staff is very attentive... It's an upscale hotel experience with a down-to-earth attention from all members of the staff... Highly recommend and will continue to make a trip here annually at least...

The grounds are beautifully maintained and welcoming, and every single staff member encountered throughout our program were knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, kind, and eager to be of service... The rooms were impeccably clean, the food was delectable, and every request was met with a resounding “Absolutely!” Generally, this is where I’d call out specific names or departments that went above and beyond, but in this instance that includes the entire staff amongst every department in this beautiful property... We couldn't have asked for a better, more comfortable place to stay when in Houston... From check in to check out and everything in between, excellence... The food and service at Tribute was outstanding, and room service was just as good... We loved working out in the exercise facility and enjoyed walking the walking path on the property... We appreciated having shuttle service to anywhere within 3 miles of the resort...
