The room seemed clean. It was spacious. The bed mostly comfortable. The room mostly quiet. However, the decor is like stepping back in time to the 1980’s tv show “Dallas”. The bathroom has a bidet. The marble counters are beige with mauve lines…. And, it has paisley wallpaper. Yes, paisley! It is not necessarily worn, but just dated. Very strange decor. The unfortunate happening is that I was attending a conference that lasted until end of day Friday. However, we were forced to check out at noon. My colleague left her bag with the front desk and they lost it! The front desk folks seemed scattered and their excuse: they have over 100 bags to store! Ok, if they are going to host conferences, they need to have systems in place to handle the large groups and their luggage. What an unorganized mess. They eventually found the luggage near the front desk, not in a secured area. Also, the hotel has nothing nearby/walking distance. They have “galleria” in their name, but when I inquired how to get there… they said it is 3 miles away… a shuttle bus would take you and pick you up, after arrangements are made. 3 miles away… they took creative liberties in claiming the “galleria” in their name. Considering there is nothing nearby, I asked where their gift shop/sundry shop would be. The front desk pointed me to a tray of candy bars. Yes, one tray of candy bars was their “gift shop”. The conference was crowded in the meeting rooms and too many people crowded around the dining table. The food was typical hotel fare. All in all, the experience was just “ok”. I definitely wouldn’t choose to have a conference at this hotel. And, I definitely would not choose to stay here, if not for business and the conference. The experience was just “meh”.

We loved it. Our room was gorgeous. We had excellent service. They provided complimentary wine and snacks for my 75th birthday. Loved lounging by the pool . One pool is heated and there is a beautiful pond with a fountain and a real black swan. Such a pretty setting in Houston.

Was a really nice property. Rooms are so cute and were really comfy. Would have gotten 5 stars except I reserved a king bedded room and when I got to the room it had 2 queens and was never told until I got there. Asked for a room with a non connecting door and finally got one, but was told it was at capacity. All worked out, but it really was a bait and switch type thing. I asked for an ironing board this AM and it took 35 minutes. I had to use the desk because otherwise I would have been late. Maybe if it wasn't at full capacity it would have been better. I'll still return but it fell short.

We were really impressed with the ability of the hotel to put on an event this big and this demanding. The venue was beautiful and well served. The food and wine was the highlight--excellent preparation, taste and presentation. The room and table decorations added greatly to a festive event. This was not our first experience with a hotel event, but it certainly was in the top tier of ones we have attended--hence a well deserved "5." The physical property is attractive outside and inside. The park setting is unique for most large cities. The lobby space is large and inviting. The staff helpful and attentive. It has a great "feel" upon entry. The attached photos include the menus, wines and wine notes, food pictures and venue photos. All in all, this was a wonderful and memorable dinner. We look forward to a future event here and will probably stay overnight to get the full experience.

I had a funeral to attend. Got my hair done, went to the church , and dinner ( by myself) after.. Anh could not have been more wonderful!! Even waited while I looked at one menu and then drove me elsewhere.. Just thought Omni Hotel should go green & have smaller cars ( hybrid?) to save gas:) He said they used to , but in Covid , discontinued. I tipped him every time, and he was so so humble, and said “ Don’t worry about it!” I had 1 other driver once, who was also very hospitable & accomadating. A+ for these drivers!! They are lucky to have them :) 🥰Also a huge shout out to Daniel at the front desk. He could not have been more welcoming & helpful. Spoke of how the hotel could /should be more green. Such as having signs in room to hang towels up if you want to use again. And switch plastic water bottles , to go containers in restaurants. Bathrobes would truly be a nice touch as well:)

I stayed here last month for 4th of July weekend and was not impressed with the hotel. My room (over $200 a night) was clean, but horribly dated, especially the bathroom, and I mean it looked like it was last updated in 1982, I was shocked, the room and entire top floor had a musty odor. I also found staff to be friendly in a perfunctory type of way or just plain rude (especially in the restaurant). The hotel just didn’t impress me whatsoever. they also allow non hotel guests to use the pool which causes a safety and security issue in my opinion. After my three days I checked out and moved over to the st Regis which was like night and day from the Omni, I’m honestly surprised at some of the good reviews on TripAdvisor for this hotel, because my experience here was pretty bad.

Stayed for two nights for a wedding in the area. The rooms were clean and spacious. We arrived after a 4 hour layover in Dallas. The bartender at La Reserve crafted the perfect Old Fashion for me. The food were ordered with the drinks was tasty and excellent. In the morning we had the breakfast buffet which was good. The pool looked clean as well. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay again

All right here we go. Here's a big shout out to the valet crew they did a splendid job although I didn't use the valet personally my family did because we were there for a wedding so drum roll please for these individuals. * Lai Truong *Grey Pham *Phi Tran These individuals really made it a great time in the experience as well to be full of laughter humility professionalism and all the other adjectives that are in the dictionary can't even describe the experience in the type of skills that these young individuals exhibited during my stay at the Omni Hotel located in Houston! Please make sure that you help these gentlemen out within their career by providing them a 10% raise and also promoting them as well or at least considering it because I honestly don't leave these type of reviews unless I've been impressed and I'm pretty sure you've heard great things about these individuals before reading my review today thank you. Regards, Big O

I'm a Omni Select Guest Platinum member, so I've stayed in several Omni hotels. This one is better than most. I was very impressed by the service and the facility. The location is ideal too. Close to lots of great bars and restaurants, but still somehow seems to be tucked away in a relatively quiet location. It seems like so many Omni's are stuck right next to busy (loud) highway interchanges. That's not the case here. Front desk staff upgraded my room for me as a platinum member, and allowed me to check in at 10:00am. The hotel bar is a great place to spend time and service there was good too. Overall a great stay.
