I travel to Houston at least once every other month, and I always stay here! It’s always first-rate service, and I highly recommend. Everyone from valet to front desk to bartender and kitchen staff and to the housekeeping staff are first rate!
Positives, room was clean and big, so was bathroom. Breakfast was ok as well as food choice in restaurant, but overpriced in my opinion. But shocking service ruined my stay. I’ve used room service twice. First time in pool area, ordered G&T, had to phone again to chase it after 35 mins. Another 20 minutes gone, they brought me Tequila with soda and lime. Second time we’ve ordered 4 bottles of beer to the room. Same story, had to double check the order after 30+ minutes, and wait for another20 minutes to be delivered. They’re charging a lot for stay, that shouldn’t be acceptable for JW Marriott standard.
Every time I come to Starbucks in the lobby of the Marriott my good friends Silvia, Mimi and Alice always, and I mean ALWAYS treat me as if I’m family. I love the amazing customer service they provide and I truly enjoy seeing them. I’ve never had a wrong order or have any complaints. Keep up the great work! Yours truly! Clint
I love Marriott because they are consistent, but not all are equal. The JW In Houston is clean, in a safe area and has great self-parking. The lounge always had great food and the wait staff, Delia E was amazing and so sweet. I’ll stay again when I’m Houston!

Stayed here while on a work trip and I would highly recommend it. The location of this hotel is fantastic. Rooms are well equipped and clean. The staff are super attentive and friendly while the bartenders definitely know what they are doing. Martha Q at the breakfast bar was an absolute pleasure and she pampered us every morning. Would have loved if they had free WiFi but apart from that I can’t knock them on anything.
Certainly not what one would expect from a JW Marriott. For a low 4,star hotel would be just fine but no more… so quite a disappointment when compared to the standard of other JW. And for sure a thorough renovation would come handy… starting with the aire conditioning
Excellent service, extremely pleasant people seeking to give you a memorable experience. From the concierge, to front desk, room service, cleanness, restaurant, proximity to Galleria shopping, restaurants.... it was a completely great experience!!!
Tasha at the front desk was so nice. We were able to get in a bit early and got to enjoy the pool and awesome workout room. Treadmills have programs to walk and see so many different places. It was my birthday so I was very surprised when delivered to our room was a plate full of fruits and chocolate from Tasha and the Marriott. How thoughtful! Had a great time.
The hotel is beautiful inside, the rooms are immaculate, and all of the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. We had a large group and the staff worked tirelessly to set up catered breakfasts and lunches ensuring that our daily schedules were kept on track. A special mention of CC, Daniel, and the rest of the Stray Horse staff, who went above and beyond serving our group in the evenings during our free time. Generally, it was just the two of them and, with such a large group, it got beyond hectic trying to place orders. They even delayed closing down because so many of us were there. We appreciate them greatly for their patience and for taking such good care of all of us. The complimentary shuttle was a welcome surprise for many of us and, even though it only did outbound trips, it did make it so much easier to get out to some of the local shops and restaurants. I can highly recommend this hotel for business needs or just pleasure trips to enjoy the Galleria..…
