I think this hotel is the closet to Hobby and has recently been renovated. We had an early morning flight, so stayed here for a short nights sleep. Had free parking and 24 hour shuttle for drop off and pickup. Great deal. The staff were friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

We chose this location because of it's proximity to the airport. We had an early flight out the following morning and they offer a free shuttle 24 hours a day. The drivers are very polite and friendly. They will also take you within 2 miles of the hotel at any time of day. We arrived early and were allowed to store our luggage until our room was available. The hotel has been recently renovated, the smell of fresh paint is still in the halls. The front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this location.

Had Southwest cancel our flight and were directed to this hotel. Usually have good experiences with Holiday Inn but overall impression was poor. Nova was terrific in handling our check-in and getting us a room early. Would have preferred a king but two doubles were okay for one night. The room was clean and the bathroom well-lit and adequate for a one night stay. We left to do some touring and came back in late afternoon. Started watching college basketball and there was a power outage. Took a long time to reset. Decided to use the fitness room but it was empty of all equipment. The pool and jacuzzi were both extremely dirty. Talked to desk clerk, (sitting and never bother to stand) and he told us not to walk the outside area as it was not very safe. Went out to dinner and AC unit had become extremely noisy. The beds were comfortable. There were prior day newspapers under the bed. No one had come to re-set clocks that had been out for some time. We got up at 4 am for our flight and no one was behind front desk. Driver directed us to seating area near restaurant and the night auditor (?) assured us she would take care of our check-out. The shuttle driver was friendly and got us to the airport quickly.

Hello 1GiantsMS, Thank you finding time to share your experience at our Holiday Inn Houston-Hobby Airport. Nova will be glad to know that she was able to make you smile with her efficient service. It was great that you found our rooms up to your standards. Our Fitness Center is still under renovation. It could have been a relaxing lay over if you were able to enjoy our pool and Jacuzzi. I'm sorry that there were lapses in housekeeping and maintenance. I have shared your feedback with our hotel management for reference to make improvements. I hope that you will come back and visit us again soon so that we can show you what we've done. Till next time, Deborah R. Case Manager IHGService

At just a little over $100 a night, this is a reasonbly priced hotel that reflects modern updates including wallpaper in the bathroom (though it is a small bathroom) and freshly painted walls. The room is large and includes both a dresser and closet, and an additonal storage over a small bench. There is a sitting chair and a chair with a desk. While there is a fridge there is no microwave (in standard units). They also have one of the larger flat screen tv's that I seen in hotels. There is ample parking but the signage is not great - no Exit sign in the garage (one way going in). Also you can't enter the hotel from the lower parking without a hotel key. Check in was efficient and there is a restaurant on grounds. Hotel staff is friendly and efficient.

I come to Houston frequently and just gave this hotel a second chance. This place has been under "Renovation" for a couple of years but isn't improving at all. I arrived Feb 17th and tried their breakfast on Monday morning. For $14, you get a cheap breakfast bar with milk that is warm, pours out in clumps and is well past the expiration date (ALL of it - every single carton). Parts of the hotel have fresh paint and some places even have new carpet. But, overall, it's a dump! The parking is cluttered with shipping containers. The "Fitness Center" is a non-operational "under-construction frozen in time and collecting dust. The elevators are a mess. The "business center" is non-functional and the front desk can't get reservations straight even after repeated attempts wrong dates, wrong prices even after numerous correction attempts).

Hi C2H5OHFresno_CA, Thank you for staying at our Holiday Inn Houston Hobby Airport. I appreciate your time giving us your detailed review about your recent stay. I'm glad to learn that you wake up well rested in the morning. As we know, satisfying breakfast gives us the energy to get things done, and I hear your displeasure regarding the quality of the item that was served. This is out of the way and it's not the brand standards that we live up to. I understand your disappointment regarding the proceeding enhancement of our hotel. Our fitness center, business center, and restaurant will be ready soon. I also sent you a private message to talk more about this. I shared your comments with our hotel to improve the service and adequate coaching will be given to our Front Desk staff. We hope to have you back and show our transformation soon. Until then, Jomar M. Case Manager IHGService
