Horrible service And rude. Didn’t let me stay even though I already booked and paid for a room and now they won’t give me a refund. Even though originally they said it would only take 5-10 business days for the refund to be processed. The customer service answering lady was disrespectful and didn’t want to give me her name. If I could give 0 stars I would.

We had a 2 bedroom suite over Labor Day weekend. Smelled smoke and skunky pot in the hallways. First thing we saw when we entered our suite was a stiff, smelly cleaning rag in the kitchen sink, and a dirty spoon wedged down in the garbage disposer. I'm pretty confident that sink was not really clean. On the dining room table, 2 legs were unbolted and the entire table canted to one side when we touched it, spilling everything onto the floor. Very lucky it did not collapse completely. The "engineer" said he would be back with a new table. We asked for a wrench and had him tighten the screws instead. Two phones in the rooms were completely non-functional. Promises to rectify that matter did not happen in the 3 days we were there, despite multiple requests. When we left the room on Sunday morning, a housekeeping cart was in front of the next room. When we got back past 4 PM, our room had not been cleaned. We called the front desk to ask why (15 minute wait on hold. There was no "Housekeeping" button on the phone.) Front desk clerk's response "I just came on at 3 PM so I have no idea why your room hasn't been cleaned. I'm here alone, I'll have to get back to you." He did not. We finally were able to procure clean towels, but never did get the room cleaned. Pulled out a hair dryer after my shower. NO on/off switch, just a gaping hole. Stopped down at the pool on Saturday night. Apparently the only cleaning that gets done is early mornings. Half-eaten fruit pieces, leaves and blossoms in abundance, and cloudy water put an end to that idea very quickly. The smell of chlorine was eye-watering. There was a brochure in our room, detailing current availability of hotel amenities. They touted their Main Street Tavern and Grill at length and offered information regarding in-room and in-restaurant dining. We proceeded to the restaurant at 6 PM for their "world-famous mead-brined chicken", and also to enquire about their Sunday brunch they very lavishly detailed, for the next morning. There was an accordion door halfway across the doorway, but lights were on, so we ventured in. A man slowly approached us but appeared confused as to why we were there. We asked about dinner, he waved us to a table, informed us curtly that the bar was closed, and handed us a paper menu with 4 or 5 types of sandwiches. When we asked about chicken, he had not a clue what we were referring to. Apparently no one in the hotel told the restaurant they were supposed to be a famous chicken place. When we mentioned the advertised Sunday Brunch he looked at us as though we were speaking gibberish. Then he said if we wanted a real restaurant, with a real menu, we should walk around to the rear of the Wyndham and dine at the Intercontinental. Which is what we did. Excellent food and service there, by the way. We will very likely stay there next trip. We stayed at this independently-owned Wyndham for its proximity to Hermann Park, the Natural Science Museum and the Zoo (all of which were amazing and a re-visit is being planned as we speak.) Most definitely not worth the aggravation, given all the other hotels that are available.

Staff was the nicest and breakfast was amazing. Maria, the other man and the cook are truly one of a kind and really nice people to wake up to in the morning. Justin did everything in his power to valet our car at no charge when there was no more parking space. Such a nice young man. We stayed on the third-floor and the cleaning ladies were fantastic. Our room was super clean. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We were here for appointments at MD Anderson.

The room was not clean and he smell was bad! And there was a lot of noise hard to find a parking spot!! A lot of drunk people outside and inside the hotel. Parking is horible. And no one does anything about what you tell them!

This place was ok, however, paying $15 (PLUS TAX) a night to park ($22 for valet parking), when the hotel didn't have adequate parking space, was very inconvenient and not worthy of the charges. Vehicles were parked in the driveway and wherever "valet" parking put cars when the parking lot was full. I've never experienced this in all my years of traveling...and I'm 66 years old! Also, the only available electrical outlets were on two lamps, one between beds and one on the desk, and one single outlet under the desk The lamp outlets between the beds were loose and caused my plugs to fall out, making it difficult to keep my phone charged. I prefer to keep my phone nearby, but ended up using the wall outlet in the bathroom to keep my phone charged. This may sound trivial, but it was a problem for my wife and me. ONE wall outlet, not used for hotel equipment, would have, as a minimum, sufficed for our needs.
