This is the most wonderful, with excellent quality of service and the attitude of all hotel staff to visitors!!!! Green corner in the heart of Houston:) I definitely stay here for every visit I visit, because for the price you pay, you get not only a great room with an amazing bed, delicious cosmetics and radiant cleanliness, but you get the warmest and most friendly attitude to yourself, a mind-blowing spa area with a swimming pool and Jacuzzi and very tasty cuisine I was extremely disappointed and upset about my departure and so short stay at this hotel, at other times I will definitely try to stay for a longer period of time and hope that all restrictions related to covid-19 will already be lifted, although this did not prevent me from enjoying accommodation in this grand hotel. Thanks to all the staff for the warmth of the meeting and the highest level of service! PS: I forgot my bathrobe in the spa area by the pool, I was in a hurry to the airport!

We ended up overall disappointed with our stay. My husband and I went here for our anniversary. They noted on our reservation that it was our anniversary so that they could "ensure we make it special." Upon arrival, our room had a bottle of prosecco and some desserts--a lovely surprise--that ended up being from my parents, not the hotel. Apparently they told my mom that they would gift the dessert, but then they charged her for both. They also charged us for both upon checkout. So, both my mother and I had to separately argue these charges with management. This most definitely is not a 5-star hotel for one main, painfully obvious reason: the staff is NOT willing to go above and beyond for you at any step of the way. Their "complimentary Maserati service" will ONLY transport you within walking distance of the hotel (3 miles). The desk told us "of course, let me go get him" and then the driver walked up and said "no, too far." I have never heard of a 5-star hotel blatantly refusing a service to a guest, especially over such a silly stipulation. Apparently it was simply too far for him to take us since it was 3.9 miles instead of 3.0 miles. Wow. Also, we checked the pool earlier in the evening to confirm what time it closed, and there were no hours posted. We even said "about time we stay at a proper hotel that doesn't suddenly remove amenities such as a pool just because of the time of day." Alas, when we tried to use it later in the evening, the pool was all locked up and we were not allowed in. Even when we requested access, explaining that there were no hours posted and we would like to enjoy a swim, we were again told "no". Again, I have never heard of a 5-star hotel saying no to a guest this much. We are paying enough that we should be granted these luxuries... we are not irresponsible children who are going to drown in the pool just because the sun is down. Also, upon reserving, I was convinced to spend extra on the room with a balcony because I told him how much we would enjoy sitting out there. Beware, if your balcony is facing South and you stay in the Spring, you will never get to enjoy it... the sun was shining directly on our balcony at all hours of the day. We also received the one balcony with no cushions on the chairs. I am glad others enjoyed the restaurant, but even that was an overpriced disappointment for us. For the record, our appetizers were delicious, as were our drinks from the bar. The service was wonderful until after they served us coffee, and then they forgot us. I had to stand up and look for someone to remind them we were still awaiting the check. My husband said his steak was a cheap cut, the mashed potatoes appeared to be made from a package, and my pasta bolognese tasted like chef boyardee. Essentially, we paid $750 for a hotel that was architecturally gorgeous but made you feel like you were at la quinta.

I had planned a sibling weekend 3 nights....and needed a 2 bedroom high end suite...the bedroom needed—one bedroom with 2 beds and one bedroom with a king...when I spoke with the hotel directly, they said, no problem and guaranteed this arrangement.....BUT when we checked in—these accommodations were not available...I asked for a three bedroom and they said, that wasn’t available..however, when I went on line—-for the same dates...it WAS available....anyway...terrible and disappointing...the next day, I had to call housekeeping—-they said, we weren’t on the checkin list....housekeeping finally came, cleaned the room but didn’t leave bathroom towels...anyway, for a 5 star hotels...this was unacceptable all the way around.....stay somewhere else..... Perhaps only a regular room would be ok...but don’t expect anything else...... By the way the resturant in the hotel—-was EXCELLENT..the food was great and service was amazing.....go to the resturant, you will enjoy it.......

What an amazing hotel! I'm quite the hotel snob - have stayed in many luxury hotels and boutique hotels and I must say this is my favorite one! It's well appointed from the lobby to the rooms. The rooms feel like you're at home, but with a luxury feel. The location is really good too! Valet was always quick and polite. We will definitely stay here again!

My husbad and I travel all the time- have been on a road trip for weeks staying at 5 star hotels and coming back to the Granduca now for the 3rd time is such a delight.. This hotel has something that is rare in the hotel business- it feels like a family hotel in Portofino.. CHARM!! Everything about the hotel is wonderful- the decor, the little details that were things of the past. The food is fantastic and the staff is always incredibly helpful and sweet. And i forgot to mention- the beds are super comfortable. Larry Bundy the GM is extremely courteous and coudn't have been kinder. Margarita and Marlo at the front desk were very accommodating, and very attentive. Adrian at the restaurant is absolutely darling- as is Argentina. Congratulation Granduca for making us feel like we'vee stepped back to a world of charm and elegance.
