Wife and I took a short anniversary trip to Houston and stayed here. We had a high floor room lvl 20 so our room was newer from what I understand and very nice. As diamond club members there was no breakfast but was given a voucher for starbucks each morning, that is in hotel, that was probably better than breakfast anyway. Only downside and not hotel’s fault is so much is closed or closes early due to covid.
This was by far one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at, this year. Met all Hilton and COVID standards. Check-in was quick and the staff was friendly. The downtown location was perfect and convenient for weekend activities. The hotel is also connected to the convention center, via sky bridge. The bartenders were personable, top-notch and made excellent drinks, including the baristas at the Starbucks. The room was cool, clean and comfortable, with an amazing view of Discovery Green. The lobby was also beautifully decorated for Christmas. Only negative was no valet services, with long walks to and from the parking garage. However, it was an overall great experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel lobby was very pretty, decorated for Christmas. Large; huge hotel with a couple of wings. Location right downtown which meant pricey payment for parking. No valet due to COVID but we like to self park. I gauged my walk from the room to our car in the lot. .8 of a mile. Almost one mile clocked. It is a long way. We are diamond members and received a room facing a parking lot below and a couple of other hotels rooftop pools. Really crappy view. Would have wanted the view of the park on the other side but was told not available. Hotel was not full, not even close so disappointed in room allotment. Hotel pool area is lovely. Outside deck off of pool needs some TLC in areas, need to watch your step as several flooring stones are loose and uneven and you could take a fall if not careful. Received vouchers for breakfast at the lobby Starbucks. Valued at $15, it’s written right on it. 2 breakfast sandwiches and 1 coffee topped out at just over $21. We weren’t asked to pay the difference. Not sure if it was due to the virus but there wasn’t much to do downtown and not many restaurants were open. Maybe it was because we were there on a Monday? We struggled to find a spot for dinner. We did check out the park nearby with their Xmas decor. I can imagine how lively the area would be with ongoing games, concerts, and things going on in the nearby convention center.…
We’re so happy to say that thanks to Brenda, at the front desk, and the entire hotel team, our son’s wedding weekend was absolutely perfect!!! I worked with Brenda for months coordinating accommodations for the bride and large bridal party. No matter how many times I had questions/changes or just needed reassuring, Brenda was ALWAYS there for me. She provided customer service above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced!! Always so very friendly and professional. Excellent follow through updating me and just keeping me sane!! I had very specific and varying room requests and Brenda made sure all was exactly what we needed. Gorgeous suite and rooms and anything the girls needed for the big weekend and day. They’re all still talking about it!! I put a huge, once in a lifetime event in Brenda’s and the Hilton’s hands...their commitment and extra care helped make it a weekend to treasure and remember always. And we are so very grateful.…
Amazing place to stay. I have stayed here a few times already and really enjoyed it. Staff is hospitable, especially Brenda. Despite there being a pandemic, it is still enjoyable. The location is also perfect, in the middle of every spot you would want to go to. Brought family here once and they also fell in love. Will definitely be coming back here.
