Excellent option to stay in the downtown Houston area. Much better value for money than the neighbouring Courtyard. The evening social snacks and get together is a good touch.
Only drawback is a lack of a restaurant in the hotel itself.

I got an email two days before I was due at the Residence Inn Downtown Houston. And I informed the hotel of my late evening arrival. The day of my arrival because of weather delays I again inform the hotel of my late arrival.

Everything was great. Valet was quick and easy, check in was quick. The room was roomy and clean. Breakfast was very good. The fitness center was small and cramped but all the equipment worked. There was construction happening but it didn't cause any disruptions.
I would beleive so, as this hotel is brand new in a wonderfully historic building. I dont recall see one though. Lots of closet space. Just the front desk. Not usually a fan of Residence Inn, this one us outstanding.
