I recently stayed at the Royal Subways for a work conference. I thought the staff was amazing and very helpful! Room was nice and food at the hotel was very good! I would stay again! Thank you! Good job!
We stayed three days at the Royal Sonesta Houston galleria for an event that was being held at a neighboring hotel. Check in was easy and we were able to get a room next-door with my mother. The valet was great at keeping my car close by since we were coming and going so frequently throughout the day and the restaurant/bar has excellent service! One evening we had gone down for some appetizers and cocktails but there was a wedding being held at the ballroom. Although the bar was completely slammed, Francisco Perez, our server was extremely accommodating, courteous and quick to bring us what we needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to any friends or family.
This beautiful hotel is centrally located in the heart of Houston with scenic views of downtown. It is quite far from the airport so plan ahead if you are on a time crunch. The rooms are comfortable and really quiet but the elevators all squeak and rattle back and forth whenever in use. The shower has Plenty of hot water but seems to lack a cooler setting so as not to scald yourself when in the bathroom. All in all I would come back if ever in Texas again.
Milton, Elena and others were great to me and my family during our week-long stay. This was the best part of our stay! There was a nice variety to the breakfast buffet. We enjoyed the made to order pancakes and omelettes.
I was at the royal sonesta for a wedding and had the pleasure of receiving an amazing service from Frank , Lorenzo, Nestor , Mercedes’ and Maria. They all were so amazing and efficient in the service.
The hotel was very accommodating in every way. But the most impressive was the staff manning the restaurant during breakfast. More specifically was the 2 people manning the restaurant Mr Milton Aparicio and Mdm Maria Trucido. They were nothing short of perfect. The moment you walked in Mr Milton would warmly welcome you to your chair and usher you to a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. Then he would introduce his assistant, server Maria who would wish you and offer you a wide choice of breakfast staples besides the wide breakfast buffet that was available. What's most impressive was the way she remembered your choice through the 4 nights we stayed in the hotel and waking up for breakfast everyday. We never failed to get a smile from Maria and Milton and literally woke up just for that. The hotel must be very proud and lucky to get two of the most dedicated staff in attendance. I would commend their training even in trying circumstances. Their smile and dedication persisted come what may. We would definitely book at the Sonesta everytime we are in Houston.…
I had a great time. The breakfast was good. Milton gave me some tips of activities that I can do around the area. The location is convenient and the hotel was clean! 👌😊 I enjoyed the weather and the food 🥰🥰🥰
Frank Perez was amazing during our conference. He was willing to go above and beyond to make sure our team of 4 was well taken care of. He moved chairs for us, he got us iced coffees from the back. He made us feel right at home during our conference at the Royal Sonesta Houston.
Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria was one of many hotels contracted for a national church youth conference. We had a group of 12 (9 youth + 3 adults) stay here. Our rooms were clean and well-maintained. We opted out of housekeeping during our six-night stay, but the hotel was very accommodating by bringing more towels when we needed them.
This entire stay has been a nightmare and I will never stay here again, nor any of their sister hotels. To start, parking is $30/night when we were told a less price. Got to our room, which is supposed to be a deluxe king yet it is small and the ceiling in bathroom is for a child. Shower has very low pressure, you have to go all the way into bathroom to close the door otherwise you will hit your feet trying to do so. The pool was FULL of bugs and cloudy (were given a $50 food/drink credit for inconvenience). To top it all off, we are sitting in a room with no cable and no internet for the past 3.5hours. I travel to Houston frequently for work and have stayed in 4 different hotels this past week from Dallas to Houston (I am from Chicago), and The Westin in Dallas was superior, from customer service to the room, to the amenities. Hilton Post Oak Galleria was not the best but by far, better than what I’m getting here. As for customer service, the gentleman that came in his suit to debug the pool, he was the only MVP (I think his name was Charles). Never again……just throw the whole “Royal” away……..this is subpar at best.…
