I wish we have received an email upon arrival regarding no valet services and the whearabouts of the parking garage. It would have also been helpful knowing where the Lobby was from the valet/hotel entrance. Myself and another guest were looking for it. So, I took the flight of stairs up to where I'd hope the lobby would be. (Not even knowing where elevators were) *Please make sure guests know UPON arrival of important information such as this. Due to Covid policies, check in was different and quick. However, the desk clerk didn't give me much information; such as, free hotel internet, what hotel restaurants or food services were available (which were not open to guests), giving other neighborhood information of what was open for my convenience (bars, restaurants, etc.) I was not asked if I was a Valencia Hotel Rewards Member. (which I was) I had to ask later and my reservation hadn't been put in the system. I would think any extra information would be helpful to your guests and would make them feel important! The Deluxe King Room was on the 10th floor and as soon as we walked in, the air was humid. After awhile, it never cooled off. I tried calling downstairs, but the room phone DID NOT WORK. (not safe) We had to go back downstairs to speak to the desk clerk. She said they'd send an engineer to the room. He didn't show within 15 minutes and we were afraid that it might not be fixed due. My husband went back downstairs and spoke to someone and we changed rooms. Walking into that room, seemed like heaven...it was cool! The switch was not a problem. (Why couldn't they have trusted their guests and just decide to move us?) The pool was nice, but crowded! There really needs to be more seating or lounge chairs. It's summer, it's hot and people want to be outside. This needs to be taken in consideration. It was like eyeballing for a parking space...when I'm trying to relax! We spent one night, went out to eat, and enjoyed the rest of our stay. I'm a teacher and this was my ONE MUCH NEEDED night get away with my husband. I wished it would have started out a little more special than it did. I hope this review will be taken in consideration to make some changes for the better.

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Hotel Alessandra in October. We loved everything about our stay, from the upgrade to a corner room at check-in, to the warm and professional hotel staff, to the comfortable and stylishly furnished room. The bed was perfect, the bathroom spacious and well stocked with thick towels and excellent bath products. We loved the plush robes and in-room coffee. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of restaurants, the conference center, and the metro rail. We will most definitely stay at the Hotel Alessandra on our next visit to Houston!

Even before I ever stepped foot in Hotel Alessandra for my stay, they made me feel special. I'd planned to have my bridesmaids stay with me in a suite with adjoining room for my wedding weekend. When the pandemic hit, I asked to downgrade to a standard king, as I'd still be getting married but only our parents would be there. Julianne upgraded us to the executive suite, while still only charging us the standard king rate for our room block. I loved so much that she did that; it wasn't just a nice gesture — it made me feel seen and understood and taken care during an incredibly difficult time. Then, during our actual stay, the staff was wonderful and accommodating. They knew me by name, provided complimentary champagne after our wedding and took care of every one of our needs. They were kind and had great conversations with us, making our stay truly lovely and memorable. On top of everything else, the hotel is absolutely stunning. I can't wait to stay there again when I can take full advantage of the bar, restaurant and amenities!

My friend and I decided to stay at Hotel Alessandra when Post Molone performed at Toyota Center in Downtown. My room was very nice and clean. Then, I met Guillermo and Grazzia at the bar and gave such an amazing experience. I literally cannot stop talking about the Palomas and Old fashions.
