First, I will begin with the good list. Check-in went well. Friendly staff. Room was clean. Bed was pretty comfortable. Now we get to the nit picking. While the access to the facility is convoluted, that would seem to be due to city zoning not dealing properly with the many

Hi JR J, Thank you for leaving us your review and for making us a part your visit here in Houston. We are grateful that you've chosen the Candlewood Suites to host you. As always, we wanted nothing more but to ensure your experience turn as positive as possible. Though it made me smile that you found the room upkeep, service, and bed a good plus, I'm sorry that yours didn't turn out the same in all other areas. I regard your thoughts about the things you've seen from the window, the snack machines, access to our location, and the carts of trash in the hall. We have set high standards in the way our hotel is kept clean and all trash to be disposed properly. I understand this made you uneasy, JR J. I'm sorry that this stay didn't go as perfectly as planned. Don't worry, I took the necessary steps to ensure our management gets to read your post and be discussed amongst all concerned staff. We are always on the lookout for ways to make your experience memorable. Reviews such as this goes a long way in identifying areas where we can improve. We may not have gotten off the right foot but I'm positive to make it better for your next stay. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay with us. Best regards, Frank A. It's a lovely day, isn't it? We're glad to have hosted your stay and the review, CinDen2. I'm pleased to know that you found our location convenient and our hotel's cleanliness is up to standard. On the downside, I'm sorry for the discomfort caused by our bed. This isn't what we expected and be assured that this has been shared with the management. Comments like yours help us address areas that may need revamping. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. I hope you find your way back soon so we may make your next stay better than the last. Until next time, Jillian I Case Manager IHGService

Stayed twice in July, The place is rundown from when I stayed there in 2015. Definitely needs work, first thing you notice is the stained carpet in the hallways, cigarette butts laying around the front entrance. The people were great, always friendly & informative. The company

Struggled with the overall rating between 2 and 3 because the staff was trying, the GM (Alexis) ultimately was responsive, but the investments that they are putting into the property need to happen more quickly. The room was clean and equipped - it is on the edge of a tough

It has everything we needed, really clean and quiet. No problem at all and had a pleasant stay. Had a fridge, microwave and a small kitchen with stove. Even have pots, pans and plates, coul not ask for anything else.
