This Hotel has what it takes.
I choose this hotel because it was walking distance to the Galleria Mall. Since the very first phone calls for information, the staff was always very helpful. I ask for an allergy prove room, and I got it perfectly. The room was vey clean and the bedding super comfortable. The corridors walking to the room could have less chemicals scents. I call for help with some amenities in the room, and the front desk always sent someone very fast, a special thanks to their engineer Jose', who help me twice and always with a great attitude. The soap in the bathroom was well choose, the scent was just great, THE best I ever fond in a hotel, the decoration very modern and beautiful. The only problem I had was that I ask for a morning wake up call, and got none, but the Front Desk young lady, called Courtney made up for the mistake very professionally, so I am grateful. Over all, I would stay again with them. It was a great trip, must say I was impressed. Maria S.

Cute, no frills hotel in the Galleria area of Houston
My husband's cousin was getting married and this was the designated hotel with a block of rooms available to us. We happily booked for the discount and it was a really cute boutique hotel in the Galleria area of Houston. We were there for 3 nights. It definitely skews modern, aka younger, but the amenities were nice. We checked in online but still had to stop by the front desk for our keys even though they offer digital keys via the Marriott Bonvoy app. We were given a room on the 10th floor which was great. You can still hear the sirens in the night but there is a CVS across the street where you can get ear plugs, if needed. I ended up asking for additional towels and pillows which was initially requested via the app prior to check-in, but weren't provided until I asked again. The bed was comfortable and we had a view of the CVS. The heater & A/C unit was noisy but could be shut off manually. Our room just had a shower, no bathtub, and there were large shampoo dispensers in the shower stall. There are plenty of outlets available in the room to charge your electronics and the wide screen TV was nice. I liked that the ironing board was stored near the bed instead of the closet. It was a good use of space. The hotel has a bar, lounge area with outside patio, mini mart area, gym, indoor pool (not heated), and adjacent parking structure. We didn't get breakfast but their kitchen opened in the mornings for breakfast items like breakfast burritos, croissants, coffee, etc. We ended up walking to nearby establishments for breakfast. The hotel is dog friendly and the staff was cordial. I'd stay here again if I were coming back to Houston.

It's a good hotel to stay and enjoy Houston. It's not in the downtown but it's 20 min away in car. There also is the Gallerias Plaza that has all you need from a mall. The room is spacious and well good decorated. The amenities are good the shower and the bed looks cleans. Housekeeping daily service definitely has to improved, no plastic glasses were replaced, nor regular coffee. The pillows might be changed it get air on it and create a pain on the neck when must be relaxing. More over i will recommend to stay, the only staff we saw where two ladies at front desk and they were very attentive and helpfulness.

Woke up to housekeeping knocking at 0830 am. Then she knocked on every door down the hall. Checkout is at noon right??? You can’t get out of Parking garage until front desk lets you out. So you sit and wait forever. Don’t recommend. Only stayed here because they were pet friendly.

Cannot say enough about the staff at Aloft during our stay. General Manager Derek was gracious and so very helpful to us upon our arrival. Also met a fantastic bartender in Ms. Blue and operations manager Mr. Nelson. Amazing people in a contemporary styled hotel in a great location!

This place and the city it resides in are a toilet. During our stay we got kicked out of the public seating area in the lobby because people apparently reserve this porta potty of a hotel for parties and then any guests unlucky enough to be here during one of these events is out of luck if they want to go to the bar or just relax and/or work. We relocated to another seating area but eventually had to leave there too when said party starting blasting obnoxious music at maximum volume. We retired to our room to find a toilet and a sink that did not work. We decided to try and watch television only to have to have the power go out. According to the front desk, the reason our plumbing didn’t work was due to the power and internet going out, because toilets are powered by the internet right? Once the tv came back on the tv could no longer access the cable channels and all we were left with was a tv that comically self fellated the gas station restroom of a hotel we are currently staying in. As a bonus, the room’s ceiling looks like it had its dry wall replaced by a blind school child wearing boxing gloves, and the office chair in our room looked as if someone had taken a liquid dump all over it. All in all this is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Houston is a disgusting toilet of a city and this hotel was the crap stained seat that rests on top of it.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at for the price I paid. On top of which, they have the audacity to charge $25 for parking for this garbage. I wanted to try something different but never again will I stay at an Aloft. Half the amenities weren’t available because the bar area was rented out for a party with DJ that was entirely too loud for the tiny hotel. No seating available for other guests. The rooms smelled horrible, the bed sheets were dirty, the power went out, the toilet wouldn’t flush and everyone at the front desk acted like this was normal. Sad thing is even after this review I’m certain no one at this facility will care.

Recently back in town and had a short 2 night stay here. The good: The location is ideal if you want to be near the shopping or dining options of The Galleria. The bad: Walls are thin, which if you are a light sleeper can be an issue. Water pressure was not great for my shower either morning.

There are SO many other hotels in the same price range that are MUCH nicer. Sheets smelled but not fresh! It’s very noisy -wish I saw those reviews before I booked. Staff is not attentive and there’s no restaurant. Garage is wide open to public not sure why we have to pay? Decor is hip but wearing out quickly. Waste of money but I did get a real early check in. Now I know it’s because they were barely booked. PR firm is great because the photo looks amazing.

I ordered a kettle and club soda and it came in a glass that I would describe as a child’s glass. I ordered a double and the bill was $32.83. Yes, that is for one drink in a glass smaller than a pint. I confirmed the price was not a mistake. I told them I be would pay them $16 or they could have the drink back. They charged me &16.

I travel a lot. I have written reviews for hotels in the past, this how ever is the first time I have had any issues with a hotel and I felt I needed to give a five star review. Hotel is great with a great location. There was a computer glitch that cause me a small issue at the hotel. Never seen a staff (staff as in plural) go to so much trouble to make things right. All the staff from management to front desk, to cooks and bar tender and cleaning staff, everyone is amazing. They make you feel like they really care about you and are glad you are there. If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would. If you come to Houston this is the only place you should stay. I know it will be for me!!
