I ordered a kettle and club soda and it came in a glass that I would describe as a child’s glass. I ordered a double and the bill was $32.83. Yes, that is for one drink in a glass smaller than a pint. I confirmed the price was not a mistake. I told them I be would pay them $16 or they could have the drink back. They charged me &16.
fantastic hotel The setting was excellent. Walking took five minutes to get to the Galleria. Amazing and welcoming personnel! Betty and David, we’re super nice! There are excellent restaurants around. If you want to explore the area, it is a must.
I travel a lot. I have written reviews for hotels in the past, this how ever is the first time I have had any issues with a hotel and I felt I needed to give a five star review. Hotel is great with a great location. There was a computer glitch that cause me a small issue at the hotel. Never seen a staff (staff as in plural) go to so much trouble to make things right. All the staff from management to front desk, to cooks and bar tender and cleaning staff, everyone is amazing. They make you feel like they really care about you and are glad you are there. If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would. If you come to Houston this is the only place you should stay. I know it will be for me!!
Excellent service specially staff name aurora and neha they are friendly and helpful, I recommend this restaurant it is a stunning place and staff as well.thank you for excellent service and great food
Average stay, recommended for business travellers. The hotel is 5-10 minute walk from the Houston mall. The gym is pretty small, however has plenty of equipment for a workout. Good bar downstairs in Lobby area. Breakfast very average. Best for short stays in my view.
We stayed one night recently. I wasn't thrilled to learn parking would be $22 per night, but that's not really a big deal. They had fast WiFi in the rooms, which was nice. What we didn't like was a noisy air conditioning unit and a tremendous amount of noise from the street below. We should have asked for a quieter room. The only thing I require when I stay in a hotel is cleanliness and quiet. It was clean but way too noisy. We slept without the air conditioner on and the room didn't get hot fortunately. The street noise woke us both up a few times though.
We have stayed in the hotel four times. It was fresh, hip and close to good areas to visit in Houston. Unfortunately the hotel has gone down hill as far as upkeep and appears a little run down. The hall on our floor smelled like stinky weed. So somebody was smoking in several rooms near us. Disturbing and ruined my entire visit, our bed has hair in it, the back of sink was dirty, and the bowl had a long hair on it. My thought was how did they missed this. The worst part is the shower has black mold in several areas. Meaning the cleaning staff is not cleaning and doing the bare minimum to try to give the appearance of clean. I did not turn on the light directly over the shower, trying to be romantic with spouse on our anniversary weekend so , I did not see the mold until after my second shower on my second day. Freaked me out and I felt disgusting after that. I had breathed in all those mold spores. Later My eyes felt puffy, my throat started draining and then there is the headache. I could not sleep all night because it was hurting. The hotel is booked out so no rooms to change too. Front desk staff sent maintenance right away. The cleaning staff changed our bedding for us. We were too tired from working and the drive to deal with it the first night. With clean sheets, the bed is comfortable. The front desk staff have always been friendly and attentive. Never been an issue with customer service. Been up since 1am with this headache. Will be too tired to enjoy my anniversary weekend.…
I choose this hotel because it was walking distance to the Galleria Mall. Since the very first phone calls for information, the staff was always very helpful. I ask for an allergy prove room, and I got it perfectly. The room was vey clean and the bedding super comfortable. The corridors walking to the room could have less chemicals scents. I call for help with some amenities in the room, and the front desk always sent someone very fast, a special thanks to their engineer Jose', who help me twice and always with a great attitude. The soap in the bathroom was well choose, the scent was just great, THE best I ever fond in a hotel, the decoration very modern and beautiful. The only problem I had was that I ask for a morning wake up call, and got none, but the Front Desk young lady, called Courtney made up for the mistake very professionally, so I am grateful. Over all, I would stay again with them. It was a great trip, must say I was impressed. Maria S.…
I gave just 1 point because I couldn’t give less, this hotel does not deserve to be considered as a hotel. First of all the smell in the hallways is awful, the window shades completely broken, the bathroom not properly clean... but the worst thing of all is that this hotel does not clean the room everyday! The excuse they gave me is that they do not clean rooms everyday due to COVID-19!! I have stayed during the whole pandemic in +10 hotels and this reason in completely UNACCEPTABLE, when I made the check in nobody told me so. I would never stay again in a aloft hotel, but I would like to give a heads up to the following customers for them to avoid staying here.
Easy check in, nice staff. Got a couple of glasses of wine which we took to our room. No restaurant so we ordered a pizza, told the front desk clerk, who let the delivery person in and they left the pizza by our room door. Comfy bed and nice towels. Nice experience and we felt very safe, masks worn by all.
