With the covid19 and Houston being a hot spot, it is very nice that there is a seal on the door once house keeping have cleaned the room. Having in and out parking privileges is very nice, especially on "move in day" for UofH. The bed was nice and comfortable. In the bath room along with the traditional body wash, shampoo and conditioner. There is a mini-sewing kit! I can not recall of any hotel that offer a mini sewing kit. Glad that there is a coffee machine in the room. Also, glad that the ice machine was not disable due to the pandemic. Was surprised how quite the hotel was, thought that we may be the only guest. On the day that we left the hotel, encounter other guest in the hall way.

The trip was great. Short ten minute walk from hotel to stadium. University of Houston campus is beautiful. The hotel is very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. A little pricey. I paid $500+ for one room, 2 nights, 2 queen beds. No mini fridge or microwave. Fire alarm went off at 1am Sunday morning. Building had to be evacuated. Thankfully there wasn't a fire. We did get to see Grant Hill though. He was there hosting a basketball camp.

Thanks for your response. Sorry about the fire alarm but all alarms have to remain alerting guests until we can confirm there is no danger. In this case there was no danger but I know you were inconvenienced. Sorry again for the disturbance.

This hotel is right on campus - very convenient if you are visiting a student there. My son loves staying at the hotel with us when we visit - it beats the dorm mattress and bathroom. The hotel is partially staffed by students, so you are supporting the hotel management program by staying there also.

This hotel is not like the average Hilton, it is on campus and filled with college students who use the campus daily, it makes parking unbearable not to mention parking is additional even for honors members.

I'm sorry you experienced these problems during your stay. We want all our guests to enjoy themselves while staying with us and if they don't we take it seriously. You happened to stay at our hotel during a very busy couple of days. We were the host as the campus precinct voting location for this year's Texas primary during your visit and the turnout was amazing. We had people standing in line to vote for over two hours as the desire to vote was impressive among our students. I'm sorry the students voting and standing in line created an inconvenience but please be assured this is not a common occurrence. Please give us another try on your next visit.

Clean hotel, nice restaurant, nice area and close to anything on campus. It would be nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Parking is a little high, would prefer a hotel without a parking fee.

Thank you for your review and for staying with us. Glad you enjoyed Eric's Restaurant and our cleanliness. We are planning a renovation and we plan to add refrigerators to all rooms but in the meantime just ask us and we will bring one to your room. I understand most guests would prefer not to pay for parking but being in a downtown and campus location where parking spaces are at a premium we must charge something. At $20 per night our parking fees are lower than most downtown hotels. Please come back soon.
