I visited the motel during Fiddler's Frolic weekend. The rooms were spotless from the front door all the way through the bathroom. I can honestly say that the bed was more comfortable than the one I have at home. I wish I could remember the manager's name because he was courteous and helpful in every way. I will definitely stay... More

The room has everything that you would want: comfortable bed, microwave, refrigerator, large screen tv with lots of channels, wifi, large size room, and free breakfast - all for under $70. Plus, the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. I've stayed at three hotels in Hallettsville, and this is the best one by far.

Stayed here 4th of July night. I thought for Hallettsville $80 was a little high, but other places were charging more. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. For a budget motel I would say it was almost luxurious, with new furniture and fixtures. The owner was friendly but private, which was fine by me. Check out the historic square... More

The price is great. I call the motel directly to make the reservations. Making the reservations and checking in couldn't be easier. Every time I have stayed there the rooms have been clean. The staff has always been super nice, friendly and courteous with me. Anything I have ever needed or asked for they have always helped me out, without... More

The owner/Live in manager here is crazy. We had over 5 rooms this weekend for a family reunion. I checked into mine today and when we went in it smelled very bad.. Not sure if moldy, stale, masked smoke/urine smell or what. I went and nicely asked for another room. The Indian owner guy said that he didn't have me... More

I found this hotel expensive for what it was, just a simple budget hotel, as I paid USD 79 including tax for one night's stay. Breakfast is OK. I didn't find the staff particularly friendly, especially compared to other hotels I've stayed in. The free wifi was a bit temperamental, and wasn't working at all at one point. That said,... More

The motel looked nice and clean, and the price wasn't too bad, considering these small towns have all raised their rates due to "Eagle Ford Shale" and the oil people it brings in. But, we should have known better when we pulled up at 5 p.m. to see identical white pick-ups in the parking lot, and a couple of guys... More

I can support the review during the busy MS150 weekend. We were told there were no rooms available and our reservation had been lost somewhere in translation. He claimed not to trust the booking sites so he kept rooms available for walk ins so he could gouge them on price. Because we booked at normal price, he hoped we would... More

I'm the guy mentioned in the recent review who called hotels.com. I don't know the reviewer and made my reservation separately from them. The "owner (?)" of this hotel made our lives miserable until he got his way in having us cancel our online reservation and booking directly with him. Here's his approach: He calls me the day before my... More
