MULTIPLE FAILURES!!! Where to begin? I’ll list the multiple things wrong with my customer service experience: 1) I called at 12:45am after a long day of exhausting travel to get the shuttle (advertised on their website as available, with no “hours of operation” listed, just that it’s available.) Front desk staff member says “I’ll dispatch the driver now.” 20 minutes later, hotel staff member calls my cell to advise “oh, the driver has already gotten off his shift & van is now NOT available, so you’ll need to take a cab or Uber.” Um, what?? You JUST said the driver was on his way. $27 cab ride later, I arrive hotel at 1:45am…… 2) Hotel website states breakfast will be 0600-1000 in morning. Ok, great, I’ll get up at 0930 & go down for breakfast. GREAT!! Excited for at least breakfast in morning……. 3) 0930 next morning, I go down for breakfast. Oh no, per front desk girl, breakfast is over at 0900!! Really?? Your website time for the breakfast states 0900-1000!! So, not only am I out $27 for a cab last night, but the breakfast is not available. Again…..really?? 🤯 3) Last night when I checked in, front desk staff member stated I needed to present cab receipt for reimbursement to general manager. Of course, general manager isn’t available, so I ask front desk girl to contact said manager to confirm reimbursement for huge inconvenience last night with absent van driver & subsequent need for cab. MANAGER REFUSED TO REIMBURSE CAB!! Again, WHAT??! 😡🤬 Manager claims van time listed for airport pick up ends at 0100. NO, THAT IS A LIE, Manager, nowhere on your website does it say ANYTHING about airport van ending at 0100….you simply made up that lie to avoid doing the right thing & pay for the cab you FORCED me to take to your substandard property! 😤 4) At the very least, this manager should have compensated me for cab fare. PERIOD. That’s pretty much standard operating procedures across all hotel chains for similar reasons. NOT THIS CHEAP ASS HOTEL!! I was infuriated at the absolute and abject LACK of customer service and the LIES told about van times, reimbursements and absent breakfast availability. Comfort Suites DFW North Grapevine has lost a customer for LIFE, and I’ll never set foot on their property ever again. NEVER AGAIN.

Good hotel. The room was clean and plenty of space for 5 of us. Was great that they allow you to park for 10 dollars a night while you fly out and shuttle you to and from the airport. This was much better than 27 dollars a night at DFW.

My son and I were in the DFW area Friday-Saturday for a baseball tournament and booked a room over the phone Friday afternoon using the number provided by the Choice Hotels app. I was told that there was one King Suite room available and I proceeded with the reservation. We arrived for check-in close to 9pm, quickly dropped our belongings off in the room, and left for a quick dinner. We had been at the baseball fields all day and were quite exhausted upon returning from dinner and literally went right to sleep. My son and I woke up numerous times throughout the night coughing and wheezing which was strange since neither of us were ill and had felt fine throughout the day, and both woke up with a horrific headache. It became clear why we felt so terrible upon turning on the bathroom light. The condition of the bathroom was nothing short of horrifying. Visible black mold and concealed water damage were present on the walls next to the shower. Mold/mildew was evident where the tile meets the tub/shower. My son and I are allergic to mold and it was very clear why we felt so terrible throughout the night and morning. Water leaks paired with the absence of any sort of working fan inside the bathroom creates a humidity issue and mold breeding ground. Simply patching the problem and (poorly) attempting to cover it with paint will not solve the problem and will make guests ill. With the lights on inside the suite I became even more shocked and disgusted as I found old blood stains on the comforter where we had slept. If that wasn't enough, there was at least 1/8 inch of dust and debris covering the bottom bathroom shelf as if the bathroom had not been cleaned in ages. Our 'clean' towels were sitting on top of the filth. There was a wad of long black hair of some sort on the floor (my son and I are blonde), the countertop was stained from water damage, toilet tissue was dangling from whoever used the bathroom prior to us, the tissue box was empty, and the sink had some brown jelly-like substance sitting in the drain and was absolutely filthy. We ended up brushing our teeth in the lobby bathroom in the hotel next door. I was appalled and sickened by the unsanitary condition of the room and cannot fathom how any paying guest would have been assigned accommodations that were so poor. What is most upsetting is that we drove four hours for my son to compete in 2 days of tournaments and he felt physically awful all day Saturday...not to mention the wasted cost of tournament fees / rental car fees / gas charges / etc. I have stayed in Comfort Suite hotels numerous times in many different cities and have always had an acceptable experience and have never made a complaint. However this was one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed in. Aside from the unacceptable and unhealthy room situation, the first floor hallway smelled like a dirty diaper, the ice machines were all out of order aside from one floor, and piles of wet towels were in various places throughout the hotel mopping up water that had leaked from broken ice machines or from where ice machines used to be located. I had planned on discussing our dissatisfaction with an employee upon check-out but the gentleman working the desk appeared half asleep and like he was disgusted to be working. I had asked him where I could find a working ice machine that morning and he told me that "I would just have to wait for one to start working." When I asked for a manager's card he simply grunted and pointed to the card holders toward the end of the counter, so I decided to contact a manager directly upon returning home. I sent an email to the general manager the following day...no response. I called 3 times over the next two days and was told a manager would call me back...still no response. I left voice messages...no response. I contacted the corporate number and filed a claim in which I was told that the hotel would get in touch with me regarding a refund...still no response. Do yourself and your health a favor and steer clear of this petri dish of a hotel.

Room pleasant, bed comfortable, WiFI OK. Breakfast limited choice and very basic. Not told at check in that the rooms were not serviced unless requested. Requested room to be serviced after second night however this did not occur. Difficult to find staff at reception. Airport shuttle was utilised and drivers were great. Given the review this hotel has I was disappointed

I wrote this on Google, but I love these guys so much that I’m writing it here too. From what I’ve seen of other reviews, no one is reviewing the recent renovations. This is the best value for the money hotel you will find near the DFW airport. Super friendly free airport shuttle! The best part is I had a jacuzzi tub waiting for me in my room. I came here without a wink of sleep from Lima Peru, and within minutes of checking in - I felt like a millionaire!!! However, this ain’t no millionaire price hotel. And there is a Waffle House and a gas station within a very short walk. The gas station has awesome beer and wine selection too. The hotel has free breakfast which I smelled coming in but haven’t tried yet. From what I saw it seems pretty awesome too! Look, for the price of this hotel, I am dead serious that there is no better option in the metro area - especially around the DFW airport! I took videos of the in room jacuzzi tub with glee as I got in my room.

Showed up 1 hour before the 3pm check in and was told there would be a $40 fee to check in even though there were plenty of clean rooms. I travel weekly for work and have never experienced such rude guest services. I will not stay here again, the couple buck's I saved isn't worth the poor customer service!

I arrived at this hotel in early November for a professional conference but was very disappointed and appalled. My husband and I stayed in this room and noticed some bug bites but attributed it to possible outside origins. Upon my last night stay, I felt something in the middle of the night and found a bedbug on my pillow. I immediately took a picture and made sure of what it was. I contacted the front desk at 1 am but was unable to get ahold of anyone. I physically went to the front desk but no one was there. I called the front desk number while standing there to confirm the right number but no one was there. I contacted the general manager on his direct number and no one answered. I left a voice message all the same. I then contacted reservations and they filed a complaint but they have not followed through. They were unable to give me a new room and told me to go back to my room for the remainder of the night (to lay on a bed with bedbugs). They also tried to contact the manager but could not reach him. I had to book another hotel room at 2 am at the adjacent hotel. I have emailed the general manager however they have not refunded me properly nor responded to my requests. Beware- no staff available and very unsanitary conditions. Do not stay here.

I booked a room for 2 nights a couple of weeks back. We decided that we would travel back and forth so I tried to cancel online in plenty of time and their website kept saying their servers were down. I called the Hotel and asked to cancel and the girl was unable to because of group rates. She said I needed to speak with Tammy in Sales. I left Tammy multiple messages and she never called back. On my reservation it stated I had until 4 pm that day to cancel. So I called Choice Hotels 800 number and they connected me to Diane. Diane said she could cancel one night but had to charge me for the 1st night. I explained to her that I was still able to since it was not 4pm. She said she would have her Manager call me. She never did that but she did charge my card $117. I called back and told her I hope it was worth it and she laughed. She also claimed to be the manager but then said she was just the front desk and that Carolyn was the manager but she was gone. The only thing Diane is, is a LIAR and a THIEF! I have filed a complaint with Choice Hotels and after reading other reviews I think Choice Hotels needs to clean house in Grapevine! If you call to make an appointment and Diane answers hang up and call Hampton.

Response from Lacey Lemon, General Manager at Comfort Suites DFW N/Grapevine
Responded Jul 12, 2022
We apologize we did not meet your expectations, all group bookings have a 48 hour cancellation per the groups contract. Any cancellations after that point do incur a one night cancellation fee per the group contract. We will be more than happy to research this situation to ensure it does not happen in the future.

We had 3 rooms at this hotel. 2 rooms were joined. In 1 of the joined rooms guests had bed bugs. They notified staff which done nothing. Protocol should have been shut the room down but they said that wasn't an option due to capacity. They didn't have a roll away bed or anything for the guest to sleep on so these poor women had to sleep in bath tubs. Hotel staff could have atleast got them an air mattress to sleep in one of the other 2 rooms we had! The next day when I spoke to the front desk they did not take it serious at all. Said they couldn't give a refund because they had no proof. We had pictures. Said they couldn't get exterminator out until the following day. Front desk was very rude. They did get us in other rooms for our 2nd night. Next day at checkout I needed a receipt. A different person was up there and also rude. She made it a big deal getting my receipt because I was unsure of room #s since we had to move rooms due to issues with their hotel. Could have been as simple as getting my name. Worst hotel stay and staff I have ever encountered. We did get a refund on the 1st night through the 1800#.

Terrible service. Couldn’t make it because of weather(ice and snow). Travel was cancelled as well as the event I was traveling for. Was still charged for staying one night. Called the property manager mr brooks and he gave me the run around and hid behind the “policy”. Terrible customer service. Absolutely do not recommend working with unprofessional staff unless you for sure can get there otherwise they will rob you
