Overall an excellent property! Rooms were spotless, comfortable and roomy! The controlled environment encasing the property was an absolute delight in the Texas heat, which encouraged activity as opposed to hiding from the heat! The service was very good, especially considering well over 12,000 people were attending a conference and the hotel itself was at capacity! The atrium is kind...

I attended the TASSCUBO Summer Conference here and brought my husband along. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The climate controlled atriums are wonderful -- filled with restaurants, river walks, and amazing plants. My only disappointment was that the Paradise Springs water park was closed for a private event on the only day that I had available. My hubby was able...

This was a beautiful resort, the staff was very helpful and friendly. There was plenty to see and lots of places to eat(I do not recommend eating at the hotel with children). The Atrium was kept at a very comfortable temperature and the greenery, flowers, and waterfalls were very relaxing. The downside to this was not enough restaurants that catered...

It rain the first few days we were there so we didn't get to go to the water park, was a little disappointed cause we reserved a cabana and wanted to treat my grandson to a luxury at the pool. There is an inside pool here at the resort so he swam in the evenings plus they have an arcade....

We had our conference with 10,000 people and they handled everything really well. I have always thought that this hotel (I would call it a small community) is a little pricey BUT you get what you pay for. EVERYTHING was wonderful. The room, the bed, the shower, the different ways to get to your room, the shops, restaurants, spa, etc....

Returned home yesterday from 4 days at the Gaylord Texan and my wife and I had an incredible stay there. We're used to nice properties (The Palazzo in Vegas, Grand Hyatt in San Diego,) so I was a little concerned reading some of the reviews here on Trip Advisor. Maybe there's two parts to the hotel, I don't know. We...

I had an overnight layover at DFW and bid on a room. I was hoping for one of the Hyatts at DFW but got the Gaylord. I eaten there on two occasions, so I knew what kind of place to expect. It's huge... like a faux Texas theme park/convention hotel/mall. I'm not a fan of those things separately and the...

We booked only one night (Sat. July 20th) at the Gaylord Texan. The main goal was to hang out at their water park. We had never been to this hotel & wanted to give it a try. Biggest complaint.... The water park was closed for a "private function" ALL day on Sunday, July 21st. We did not know this until...

The conference facility at the Gaylord is outstanding (5 stars), but the hotel rooms are average (3 stars). The facility is isolated and unless you have a car (and pay $19 per day to park), be prepared to spend your time at the Gaylord. Here's the pros/cons: Pros 1. Conference facility is absolutely beautiful. Rooms are well laid out. The...

I recently stayed at the Gaylord Texan resort an found it to be an outstanding place to explore. There is something for everyone there from children to adults. The Shrek experience was very popular among children. Waterfalls and train sets were awesome to see. Art displays of Texas history were very interesting. There were enough restaurants from any price range...
