This was our second year in a row. We could not be more pleased with the accommodations. The friendly service with an early check-in was appreciated beyond words (because we had our elderly parents with us). Our hostess wanted to help with everything! Rooms were spotless, beds extremely comfy and coffee was hot and readily available. Breakfast was on-time, yummy and plentiful. Thanks Julie!

Recently stayed here for one night. We were thrilled with the Inn and had no regrets! The owner Julie was friendly and welcoming and helpful. Fresh brownies were available in the dining room and wine and filtered water when we arrived. Breakfast was served at 9 AM, but coffee was available by 7AM. We chose to go to the dining room with some other guests for breakfast, but Julie also offered to serve breakfast to our room if we had preferred to eat in the room. Breakfast was wonderful and quite enjoyable with quiche, fresh fruit, potatoes, and a delicious chocolate banana muffin. Julie was willing to accommodate any dietary restrictions as well. The bed and sheets were soft. The Inn was close to the square and a safe location. Wish our schedule would have allowed us to stay longer. Would love to return!

Owners are very friendly and are a pleasure to talk to. They truly make you feel like family when you are there and their customer service is phenomenal.

We stayed in the garden cottage for a couple's getaway and it was perfect. We plan on staying here in again in the Josephine room.

The house is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. You definitely feel like you step back in history with the woodwork and beauty.

Breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh. Coffee and juice were always flowing and you didn't have to hesitate to ask for something.

While there are many B&Bs on paper in Granbury, this is only one of about 3 or 4 that offer fresh hot breakfast served every morning and at a reasonable price. It was a 10 minute walk to downtown where there were plenty of shops and restaurants. The other places just have hotel style continental breakfast or coupons to local places. Iron Horse is truly a B&B that you think of when planning a relaxing/romantic getaway.

I highly recommend you try the Iron Horse B&B

The hosts greeted me like family and did everything to make my Independence Day weekend truly enjoyable! Breakfast was tasty and exactly on time. The bed was really comfortable. I stayed in the separate bungalow so there were no extra noises! I’d recommend they innkeepers put a few more hooks for hanging a toiletry kit near the sink and maybe on the inside of the bathroom door for clothing or pajamas.

My husband and I wanted to get away for just a day. The history behind this B&B, in itself, was so intriguing, but when we got there—PERCEPTION!! The hostess, Julie, greeted us at the door and we felt so welcomed and invited. She gave a little history about the house and OMGOSH, you can see the history the moment you step in—This house is absolutely stunning!! She then gave us a tour of her home and every room was beautiful. We finally got to our room, the Josephine—BREATHTAKING!! I am very particular when it comes to cleanliness in a hotel—every room in that house was pristine. And the bed, oh my, I slept on a cloud that night. Julie is such a gracious hostess. She lets YOU take the wheel—she gives your space, or she lets you talk your head off. Either way, she makes you feel totally comfortable AND she makes a mean breakfast too...Delicious quiche, potatoes, fresh fruit, and homemade sweet rolls—yum. If I think of something negative to say, I’ll let you know, but don’t hold your breath, cuz at this point, negative is just not a part of this fabulous place. Enjoy!!! We will definitely be returning, soon.

I have stayed in many beds and breakfasts all over the country and have to say that the Iron Horse Inn is my favorite! Julie and Lenny were just the most hospitable hosts and welcomed our group of four like we were family. Two of us stayed in the Josephine suite and two of us stayed in the Cogdill suite. These were both amazing; beautifully furnished and huge! The gourmet breakfast was over the top delicious, and we got to enjoy visiting with our hosts while we ate. This inn deserves 5 stars for sure.

What a lovely place AND lovely people. Lenny and Julie were such wonderful hosts. My husband hit it off with them when they found out they had a few things in common, being northeasters was one of them :)) Josephine room was pretty & spacious, the bed was very comfy. Homemade breakfast was delicious with Lenny’s salsa and if you’re lucky like my hubby you can have a second helping of cinnamon rolls. We always enjoy meeting other people while staying at B&Bs and Lenny & Julie make breakfast a comfortable, warm and friendly occasions for everyone to chat and get to know each other! So thankful. We will be back!

Thank You. Cinnamon rolls were tradition we carried on from the previous owners with a few tweaks to make them our own. The homemade salsa was something we added and has been a favorite as well. Look forward to seeing you agian.

This was a fantastic place to stay while my wife and I were in Granbury. The house was beautiful, the room was cozy and the meals were delicious. Julie and Lenny were gracious hosts who took time out of their day to engage in conversation with us while we enjoyed our breakfast. I look forward to our next stay at Iron Horse Inn Bed and Breakfast.

We were given a night's stay at the Iron Horse Inn as a gift. What a beautiful property! It was very quaint, comfortable, clean, quiet and peaceful - a very restful and enjoyable evening, which was great after a very busy day. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and enjoyable, shared with the other guest staying there. I would highly recommend Iron Horse for someone looking for a restful and peaceful evening stay (or longer!)

We stayed at the Garden room, loved the color and decor.
My husband liked that it was a separate cottage from the main
house. The hosts were attentive and personable gave us input on were to dine and go . Our favorite restaurant was their recommendation "Christinas" Bistro! . Breakfast was delicious both days . Will be visiting again for sure!!!

We all ate at 9am when we stayed. It was very nice - egg casserole, fruit & yogurt & homemade cinnamon rolls!

There are always several restaurants that serve a special Thanksgiving meal. At this date, I do not know for sure which ones or their menu, but I can guarantee they will all be worth the visit. We look forward to your stay!
