And in case you didn’t know: Possum Kingdom Lake (popularly known as P.K. ), is on the Brazos River located primarily in Palo Pinto County Texas. The lake has an area of approximately 17,000 acres (6,900 ha) with 310 miles (500 km) of shoreline. And the fishing is great year-round.
We stayed here in our RV over July 4 weekend. Notes posted said they only had about 50% of the staff they needed. But, we would've never known. The restaurant, cantina, and site workers were all courteous and prompt. Very good shrimp tacos and outstanding catfish in the restaurant. Great live music, cold drinks, and smiles everywhere we looked! We'll be back!

We visited Fox Hollow and not only was it open - but it’s been remodeled and the restaurant has full bar, great food, good service and fantastic location. The new owner is making crazy cool upgrades- updating cabins, menu is excellent, new boat docks for day and overnight . So worth visiting! In my opinion hit and miss before but now very consistent. Worth a visit!

The staff especially Koby takes great care of you whether you are staying in a cabin or attending one of their many events. They just had the Crawfish Boil at the Cantina and it was an amazing time and event!
This place is awesome for a day trip, weekend or a whole week!!

Our experience with this resort has been less than desirable. The booking advertised wifi was available as well as a hot tub. Upon arrival there was no wifi throughout our weekend stay. The hot tub had not been cleaned or serviced since who knows when. Gary showed up and offered to compensate a nights stay AS WELL AS dinner at the restaurant. We thought everything was resolved. This was just the beginning of a horrendous experience. We did eat at the restaurant and the meal was covered. However, several days after our stay had ended we called as the room compensation had not yet been credited. This is when Gary changed his story stating he never said he would offer dinner and a compensated night only a choice of one or the other. After going back and forth why anyone in their right mind would accept a $180 dinner over a $650 night we agreed he would just refund us the difference of dinner and the night totaling $470. Again thinking this is fair. Only $235.50 was credited to our card, half of what was promised, and mysteriously never processed from pending to accepted. We never officially received the credit!! Gary did send a receipt showing the half credit but my theory is they disputed or canceled the charge. Over the course of the next several weeks every time we spoke with Gary or Gina the story changed. It went from well we credited a weekday stay, or half night, or well it was the total for the night minus the cost of dinner. No it was clearly deliberate because half of $470 is 235.50. Then their story changed to hostile tone stating "well why would you think you're entitled to a free nights stay just because the hot tub is not working". I responded with well not only was a service not provided as advertised with both the WIFI (which btw there is 0 cell service at the resort so we could not speak with our children all weekend) and the hot tub, but that is your word that you agreed to! Just bad business, inconsistent stories, and shady behavior knowing eventually we'd give up. I'd recommend staying elsewhere on Possum Kingdom

We arrived about 8 pm on a Saturday night and waited about an hour for our group of 14....not bad for such a large group. They have a new open air bar across the road and near the lake shore where you can enjoy a few drinks while waiting for your table. Waitress was very nice and patient with our large group. Catfish is excellent. Chicken fried steak is excellent. Fried pickles are excellent.

A large group of 25 ladies ate dinner at Fox Hollow. They seated us at one long table, took our order, served the food, and gave 25 individual checks with great speed and accuracy. The food was good. We were in and out in an hour and half. Amazing!!! Prices average $10-$18 for dinners. We did have a reservation and followed up the day before we came. Very impressed.
