Talk about out of the way. Take a state hwy and turn left onto a country road. You keep seeing 'Dead End' signs. Couple miles down you hit a pea gravel road. This is her driveway. Seems like another mile to the lodge. But well worth the trip. Janice is so nice. Her hospitality is top notch. She is accommodating... More

We came to Glen Rose for a mid-week spring break with our son. I had always wanted a 2nd home in a log cabin so I thought this would be the place for us to stay. Janice was lovely making a great breakfast every morning (and even brownies just for fun one evening). The accommodations were nice and the only... More

Janice Lewis is the proprietor of a lovely log home/bed and breakfast ="Cedars on the Brazos". We had the opportunity to stay with her last Sunday overnight in the Commanche Sunset suite. A most comfortable bed, great pillows, soft as suede sheets only added to the pleasant ambiance. A very large bath with every room (3), with full length mirror... More

Cedars on the Brazos is such a beautiful property! The photos alone don't do it justice! On top of the beautiful scenery, Janice is always so warm and welcoming! You can not go wrong with this location as your weekend get away! It's a bit of a drive from the closest "city" but the scenic drive is nice.

We visited Cedars on the Brazos after dropping our oldest son off at Baylor University. It is a welcoming and refreshing place with lots of peace and quiet. Janice is a caring host and makes a wonderful breakfast. The property is a great place to hang out and the town is a fun place to spend time.

We spent 2 days at this beautiful B&B. The grounds were awesome, so many places to sit and have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The trees and the view of the Brazos are breathtaking. Janice (the owner) was gracious and very accommodating. We will definitely go back. I highly recommend Cedars on the Brazos. Thank you... More

From the moment we drove down the road to the B&B we felt miles away from any city, which is what my husband and I were looking for. The property is secluded and sits atop the Brazos River. Janice the owner made us feel welcome from the time we opened the door. The house is rustic, quiet with spacious rooms and bath... More

My husband and I were married in the prayer chapel on the property and spent our honeymoon in the Copper Tejas Suite in 2011. It was absolutely beautiful. Janice (the owner) was an absolute sweetheart and extremely helpful in our planning of a simple romantic wedding at her bed and breakfast. It is the perfect place to get away and... More

We just returned from a weekend stay at Cedars on the Brazos. We stayed in the Copper Tejas room and enjoyed everything about this place. The room was nice and spacious and felt very private even at the front entrance area of the house. Janice is a wonderful hostess and prepared the best hearty breakfasts. We loved hearing about the... We arrived to the warm greetings of Janice and felt right at home. She had fresh iced tea waiting for us after we had taken a quick hike around the property...the prayer chapel, the meadow, the amazing view from the deck overlooking the Brazos River. We stayed in the Copper Tejas room with the luxurious king-sized bed. This morning we... More
