If you are looking for a memorable and truly relaxing getaway, Rough Creek Lodge and Resort is the place for you. I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had during my recent stay. Our group consisted of four women, and we participated in two outdoor activities while we were there. The five stand clay shooting and tomahawk...

There is something for every family member to do - hunting, shooting, spa services, pony rides, archery, tomahawk throwing, fishing, zip line, rock climbing wall, etc. Most of these activities are included in your stay. We especially enjoyed skeet shooting with Huff! Huff did a great job teaching our grandson to shoot. We will definitely go back!

This was our third visit to RC. We had another family go with us as well. Highlight of our visit was the nighttime safari. So worth it with kids! Our guide pulled over and stopped towards the end just because we wanted to see the amazing stars! (Deep in the heart of Texas!) The kids also really enjoy the zipline,...

I had wanted to stay at Rough Creek for awhile, always sounded like a fun and fancy full Texas experience! It seems mainly for corporate retreats these days. Rooms show significant wear, service was definitely in NO way "5 stars," but rather friendly and minimal. We had a light lunch, their 3 course dinner, and buffet breakfast. That plus our...

We spent the week after Christmas at the Rough Creek Lodge. It was a terrific experience. The quality of service is very high at RC. RC is very easy to get to from the DFW Area. It was just a two hour drive from the far side of the DFW Area (Allen). Once you are at RC, you are in...

We stayed 4 nights, 5 days. Overall: We enjoyed the overall experience at Rough Creek. It was relaxing and we had a lot of good quality family time. We enjoyed many of the outdoor activities. The mule atv was fun, horseback riding, the shooting activities, zip line and climbing wall were all big hits with our family. They boys wish...

Just returned from our fourth visit to Rough Creek over the past 2 years. Service was outstanding, as were the food and accommodations. We always look forward our family dinners. Wayne was our Upland Bird Hunt guide, and he was outstanding both days. We have no reservations recommending Rough Creek, and we have another reservation over MLK weekend!

My dad and I just returned from our second father-son hunting weekend at the Rough Creek Lodge, and, as always, it was spectacular! An easy, 90 min drive from DFW, Rough Creek is a sportsman's paradise that will provide the whole family with incredible amenities, culinary excellence, and memories to last a lifetime. For my pop and me, we go...

This was a beautiful resort for a quick family getaway. Two teen boys were exhausted at the end of each day! Beautiful restaurant, wonderful meals, comfortable beds, luxurious bathroom. Really can't say enough, everything right there. Not inexpensive, but that's not the point when you go to a place like this. Will try to bring some friends next time, as...

Started out beautifully. First course was exceptional. Something happened and the service went off the cliff, and left us hanging. All of our steaks were served so cold, the butter on top would not melt. WAY too much seasoning. Our anticipated birthday dinner was so disappointing. Very sad.
