The Inn is lovely! Lots of attention to detail for the comfort of their guests. The owners are very nice and helpful. Try their restaurant too! We were only here for one night (for Tarlton graduation). We'll be back again for a longer stay.
Located right off the Paluxy River. Relaxed, very welcoming staff (including Ryman and Ursa), Room was clean and well appointed, bathroom looked brand new, Plenty of off-street parking, Breakfast was very good. There is a riverfront tavern called Snyders adjacent to the property - we didn't get a chance to try but had a couple tell us at breakfast that is was their favorite spot to eat in Glen Rose. Highly recommend the Inn on the River.
Great place to get away from it all. Food is delicious and you are near the city square, within easy walking distance. Food is delicious but what Makes this BnB special are the staff and owner. Some of the nicest people you will ever meet, not to mention the cute dogs and pretty location.
We have been exploring the small towns of Texas. We decided to checkout Glen Rose. We came across the Inn on the River as our accommodations for the night. We were welcomed by Pam the owner and a few other as part of the welcoming committee. We were able to view and chose our room location for the night. We chose a ver nicely appointed room on the second floor at the end of the hallway overlooking the river. The bathroom was newly renovated and the bed was very comfortable. We decided to dine in the hotels restaurant and received excellent service and the meal was delicious. We will definitely visit again when, great location right in the heart of town.
Pam and her team were wonderful. Our granddaughters chose this hotel for a family getaway as we had stayed before. Caring, cleanliness, precious house pups and great food all enhanced our visit. We loved it and will be back. The girls want to spend two weeks.next time♥️♥️‼️
From the moment we walked in the door, it was cozy, quaint. I don't like to think of them as staff, because they all knew who we were, and greeted us each time with smiles and polite conversation. I didn't want to leave, because their beds were so luxurious. Normally when I travel, I take my own pillows and still have a hard time sleeping, because most places have gone to these half sized lumpy pillows, and scratchy sheets that get all messed up when I toss and turn all night long. They had perfect pillows, and super soft sheets, The second my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light! We didn't get to take advantage of the tranquil grounds set right by the river, as it was not the season, but I can just imagine how wonderfully relaxing it would be just hanging out in the Adirondack chairs watching the river. We were going to Glen Rose for a dog show, and the pet friendly hotels were booked. I was nervous, so I called to check about the ability to bring my dogs, and within 2 minutes of talking to them, I knew I had found a gem of a place to stay, but I didn't realize I found a diamond until I arrived. We didn't want to leave back to our bustling lifestyle back in Dallas. We loved it so much that we wanted stay. We are already planning our next trip back,…
Setting on the Paluxy River provides a picturesque view and walk. Breakfast is at the Inn, and then later, you can walk about 50-feet toward the river and enjoy dinner and drinks at Synder's Tavern. My guests felt at home and enjoyed talking to Pamela.
My business partners and I just completed our annual 3-day leadership retreat. Pam and the crew took excellent care of us. The meeting room is roomy, has lots of natural light and a terrific porch overlooking the river. All great things to help get through days of business reviews and planning. The tavern is just next door to the meeting room, which is also handy after a long day. Check them out if you need accommodations for a modestly sized business function. Pam and the crew took excellent care of us, as always.
Inn on the River is THE perfect place to stay for long-time friends. We were graciously accommodated by Owner Pam and her entire staff. The Inn is located on the Paluxy River with beautiful views from the lawn and Snyder’s Tavern.
We discovered Glen Rose and the Inn while searching for places to stay near Dinosaur Valley State Park, which is just 5 miles away. The Inn is exactly as advertised. Nothing fancy but clean quiet and its location on the river couldn't be better. Our room was lovely and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed being greeted by the Inn's dogs, who we found well behaved and gentle. Evenings sitting at the rivers edge were fantastic. We took an easy day trip into Fort Worth on our second day and were happy to come back to the peacefulness of Glen Rose. All in all, I'd say a great stay.
