My husband and I plus 4 couples stayed at the SAN Gabriel House in December as a Christmas getaway. The house is very lovely. Beautiful furnishings, very well taken care of and nice breakfast. As a group, we took all 5 rooms upstairs. There is a great sitting area upstairs so it made it very comfortable for our group. The...

This is a tremendously sturdy house, and rather lovely, built in c.1903. It's been extremely well appointed with furniture and with fittings throughout the several public rooms and the en-suite bedrooms. Its position is right across the leafy street from the university. You can sit out on the porch and survey the scene either upstairs or down. My main quibble...

San Gabriel house was a really good stay. Very quiet room, we were there on a Saturday and Sunday evening and on Saturday it was full. Hardly knew there was anyone else there! Nice sitting rooms and I loved the library. 3 time choices for breakfast which was served elegantly, yet informally for us. Hot and tasty, too!! Wifi was...

We visited Georgetown for our 11th wedding anniversary, and chose San Gabriel house for its beautiful historical charm. This was our first bed and breakfast experience, and we would definitely repeat it! It is situated across from a beautiful historical church only blocks from the beautiful town square. The house itself is gorgeous, with tons of woodwork, period furniture, and...

We have stayed in many B&Bs but this is one of our favorites. Neil and Dee see to every detail but do not hover, the house is elegant, beautiful and warm. The breakfast is outstanding! They cater to everyone's taste. My daughter is a vegetarian and we had a delicious meat free breakfast with homemade pear butter and mixed fruit...

We stayed at the San Gabriel House B&B in Georgetown, TX in January 2014. We had booked the San Gabriel Wine Trail Tour and this was a perfect place to overnight while on the "trail." One can only do so many wineries in one day and enjoy them. We had the Bishop Rose Room which was large, airy and very...

The furnishings and antiques were amazing to look at, room was so clean and comfortable. The view from the upstairs balcony was very picturesque, especially while sitting on the swing drinking my morning coffee. Dee's breakfast would give any 5 star restaurant a run for their money. The day we left Dee and Neil both took the time from their...

Thank you, thank you Neil and Dee for your graciousness and calming presence to this terribly frazzled traveler. I arrived at the San Gabriel without luggage after a long day of traveling. Dee immediately found shampoo, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant so I wouldn't have to go searching for them late night in Georgetown. Neil said he would make sure...

We have stayed three different times at the San Gabriel House. It is beautiful, quiet, and you have plenty of privacy. We have stayed in the Library Room and the Southwest Room. Both are great, but the Southwest Room is our favorite. It is quieter and larger. The breakfasts are great. The owners are very flexible and let you choose...

Directly across the street from Southwestern University, this B&B is one of the best. A historic mansion, it is filled with lovely antiques, including a long dining room table where you are treated to a luscious breakfast. Homemade omlets, fantastic baked French toast, and scrambled eggs are among the possible offerings that always come with fresh fruit cups, juices, homemade...
