This place was apparently acquired recently by Rodeway. It seems to have been a privately owned operation before. (Georgetown Inn) Not sure if they kept on the staff. The girl at the front counter was OK and friendly. Had a couple of issues with the TV which they dutifully took care of. The front door light switch seems to control the whole room. If its off, nothing in the room is working. My biggest issue is with housekeeping. The coffee pot was dirty. Only three coffee packets in the room (one regular and two decaf) when I checked in (usually you find two regular and two decaf) . Used both cups and all the coffee on Friday/Saturday morning. Coming back Saturday night, the bed had been made (mostly. sheets weren't tucked in but at least it was made), but neither the coffee nor the cups had been restocked. And for some reason, the housekeeper apparently thinks no one uses the clock. It was unplugged when I checked in Friday and was unplugged again when I returned to the room on Saturday. The room itself was only haphazardly done. The bed was a little hard for my tastes. Housekeeping gets only a 1 in my opinion. I expected better from a Choice Hotels chain.

The parking lots were almost empty when I arrived in the evening and the room I received was relatively close to the freeway so I asked the receptionist (Indian owned hotel) if I could get a different one while checking in. Answer: no we are full. When I got to the room there was a big family in the room next to it being extremely noisy and since there was a (thin) door passage in between our rooms it was almost as if they were in the same space. Since I had a tough week starting a new job I called the office again to ask for a different room. Answer: no we are full. I protested some and then she did have a different one and I could come to the office. Arriving there again with my luggage she said there is one other room available but it is next to the freeway. I protested some again and was considering. After the probably uncomfortable silence she decided an overall better room was available afterall and with a few ticks I received a room in the back. Incredible 'customer service'. Moreover the place is dirty and old.

We booked for Thanksgiving week. By the time I thought to make reservations there was almost nothing left in Georgetown. Additionally, my wife needed a smoking room. All that aside, we were happy with our stay. The Hotel has some age issues. Worn bathtub and low water pressure. However the bathroom was spic and span. No mold present and the shower curtain was new. The toilet was clean and functioned well. The sink area was spotless with no water build up and the faucet seemed relatively new. None of the faucets leaked and the all worked easily. The ice machine delivers excellent ice, and quickly. The sleeping quarters were clean. The flat screen TV was new. The fridge and microwave both worked well and ran quietly. All the lights worked and the a/c worked. The pillows seemed very new but the mattress and bedding need upgrading. However, they still got the job done and we slept very well all three nights. The walls are well insulated or just plain thick. The hotel was completely booked on our side but we never heard so much as a peep from our neighbors. We could tell some upgrading is taking place. The paint looked new. The only thing keeping us from giving 5 stars is the uncompleted upgrades. Would we stay again? Unquestionably, In a heart beat.

Room Tip: The smoking rooms do not have carpet. This helps keep them smelling fresh.

Hello Stephanie, This is never the expectation and want to apologize for the major inconvenience. We have enough resources to provide every guest hot water even with full occupancy. Housekeeping make sure each rooms has TV and Phone is working prior to the guest arrival. We will use this incident seriously to help us improve.
