Our stay at the Tremont was awesome. The historic hotel is well renewed, rooms are large and confortable, as well as the bathroom. We planned to spend my birthday in Galveston, doing some history walks and the location of the Tremont was perfect to walk the downtown area. Since the arrival, hotel team was friendly and professional. Brittany at the Front Desk was smiling and gave us all the information for dining. Also remembered my birthday next day and greeted me when she saw me, nice detail, she is the best! Jeremy at the concierge was also informative on where to go. Alejandra, the housekeeping maid was very courteous and did a great job. Really the human team is very good. Will recommend the Tremont for sure!

Lora & Ernesto were delightful! Truly a joy to encounter them both. It is because of these two that we will now be staying with Tremont every time we are here vacationing. They were VERY kind and patient and it was evident that they enjoy their positions with the hotel. The entire staff was prompt and responsive. Thank you all for a pleasant stay! We will most certainly be back!!!!

Just returned from a 4 day visit to Galveston - two seniors that chose to stay at the Tremont after receiving several suggestions from Cruise Critic members - (although we did not go on a cruise - just spent time in Galveston) - were told that would be a great place for us to stay The Good: Nice linens, on the beds - Nice to have "real" coffee cups and glasses with the coffee machine in the room (not just paper); great coffee; nice Cafe on-site; good map of restaurants within walking distance given at check-in; nice to be able to set light in bathroom low for a night-light; quick room make-up by housekeeping The Bad: Some of the front desk staff didn't seem to know too much about Galveston for Tourists (i.e.) where the nearest Trolley stop was located - no hand-outs of "tourist" maps (other than restaurant map); handle of toilet loose and fell off a couple of time (we managed to put it back); ice machine on our floor (3rd) not working the entire time there; cricket on the bed with me when I woke up one morning - reported to front desk staff - and they just laughed - bath-tub very dangerous - no grab bars - no "non-slip" anything for the bottom of the tub The Ugly: FIre Alarm accidently set -off (not the problem) the problem was that before they announced that it was a false alarm - since we were ready to head-out anyway - we decided to be good guests, and use the stairs (instead of the elevator) - when we arrived at the first floor landing - the door from the stairwell into the hotel was LOCKED - how unsafe is that ?? Reported to front desk staff when we checked out - they had no comment …

I have walked all the emergency exits in the hotel with our Engineering team and cannot locate any emergency exits that do not allow exit to the hotel or the exterior of the building as you stated in your review. All around the book phenomenal !!! The services was top tier ! Jerome helped us with our things had the most uplifting hospitality I’ve seen since our visit to Galveston. He made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Awww man that bright smile just topped it off because it never went away ! I give this place a 10/10 and was invited by him to come again. I will be booking tremont every year we come down.

The staff here were excellent. Jerome did a good job getting our room ready. Front desk and valet staff were also wonderful. We were close to several restaurants and bars. This made walking around great after driving 1200 miles.

My mini one day vacay was just what I needed…. But that couldn’t have been without the wonderful staff and stay at The Tremont House Hotel! The staff in particular, the bar was a step back in time with a hop forward if that makes sense….. My bartender Hector was in a word supercalafragalisticexpaladocios! His drink knowledge and explanation was good enough to make me close my else’s and picture it with his whole hearted description! Kennedy was also divine and such a good overseer! 10 stars to you guys !
