Thank you Avilia for your service at the Hotel. I just want to make a difference on your work. You really care about the costumer at the Hotel. You went about my expectations. I have a wonderful time at the Resort. Marlene and Ernesto.
If you get a chance to stay here, book one of the five private villas! It is upscale with its own staff & private pool, cabanas & more! Had a four seasons feel & the staff treated us like royalty! Danielle, was over the top AMAZING in everything she did to provide an unforgettable experience! We stayed two nights & it was great! The villas are beautiful & superb! Shout out to Ivan, Sarah & other members of the team who also made us feel like celebrities!!! Liam at Valet was great & the food in the Bistro as well as the steakhouse (Landry’s) was delicious! Service was five-star!
Every time we travel to Galveston I am excited to shop at Style, Aqua and the Spa. I always find such fun and unique clothes and accessories to add to my wardrobe. I will get compliments on the things I buy there every time I wear them! The Spa also carries the best skin care items. When I run out of necessities in-between vacations they let me order and ship to my house. Great customer service! By far our favorite place to go on the island!
Everyone needs to go visit Sara at the San Luis Spa. She goes above and beyond to make sure you experience is the best. She even offers complimentary mimosa :) After your spa treatment, make sure to shop a bit. The girls on the shop help create a shopping experience you've never had.
Not up to standard for a $500 plus, per night stay. Standard size hotel rooms and very small bathroom and balcony. The rooms are updated but not maintained. Lots of chipped woodwork, dirty cabinet fronts in bathroom, drapery hanging off broken drapery pull, bed creaked, no water pressure on vanity faucet, pieces of clothing tags on vanity and floor. Requested housekeeping the night before as required, when we returned after being gone all day they had not come. Also, very poor internet service. When I requested a higher floor at check in I was told it would be $160 more. Apparently I had booked a partial ocean view room, but it turns out all the rooms face the ocean and partial meant that you get a lower floor over the roof and ac equipment below. I guess you are paying for the entry way, available restaurants and pool area. Pool warm as bath water, area around pool very small and almost 50% must be reserved for an additional cost.…
We are at a conference at the resort and had dinner at the steakhouse Tuesday. We do every year. This year our party keep growing. The manager John Paul accommodated us with smiles and was a pleasure to work with. Justin our server, very professional. The food as always was top notch. I had the steakhouse skewer. Tasty. A fun evening
My wife and I had another excellent stay at the San Luis! We checked in on a Friday and checked out a Sunday. The whole check in process was a breeze and we were in our Corner Room on the 12th floor in a flash. Upon check in we changed and headed down to the pool. We had a Cabana poolside. Morgan was our server and took great care of us. From drinks to lunch whatever we needed, Morgan was on point and flawless. The pool also has a swim up bar and has enough room so adults without kids can spread out. One of my favorites from the menu is the Poke Bowl. It is really refreshing on a hot day. Cold tuna, avocado, radish, carrots, jicama, on a bed of warm rice with a spicy sauce drizzled over the top. My wife had a Cobb salad. One of her favorites. Did I tell you that my daughter and her family were with us and had a nice room on the floor below. All rooms have an amazing gulf view with a large balcony. The balcony is great for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The San Luis is such a welcoming resort. Everyone on the staff greets you and always ready to offer any help you might need. The restaurants at the San Luis have all the bases covered from Italian to Steak House to Blakes Cafe. A Starbucks is on site as well as a grab and go with pastries and gelato! We had a gelato Saturday night after a full day on the Island and back at the pool. Thats right, we spent most of Saturday back at the pool after a morning ride on the ferry for dolphin watching. The Hotel was definitely crowded this Saturday, but the pool had room enough for everyone to have fun. The rooms are well appointed, and the showers are great. We both slept soundly each night on the comfortable beds. I can't think of anything we might have missed on our stay at the San Luis. It is an excellent choice when coming to the Island. Everything you need is here. The beach is across the street if you need some sand and surf. A Rainforest Cafe is next door if you have kids and Landry's Seafood is pretty much next to that or hop in the car for a ride down the seawall with all it has to offer. Don't forget the Pleasure Pier either if you like amusement parks. It also has a few restaurants on site as well. Pull up to the front and forget your cares because the folks at the San Luis will take care if you!…
The Steakhouse was unbelievable wine list service from our waitress Jennifer was flawless. Perfectly cooked steak they had fresh oysters and the best lobster tail my wife has ever eaten. We will be back again and have been coming here for years. Jon Paul has a perfected staff.
The police are too overzealeous here. Ruined a good time. Hotel staff was amazing, which is why they still get a good review. I apprently have to write a book, so here goes: Your police suck, the staff are amazing.
My wife and I loved our stay at the Villas at San Luis Resort. It was so romantic, relaxing, and rejuvenating. The five private villas each have their own hot tub and share a private pool. They also have their own bar and bartender. Danielle, the manager, was super friendly and attentive to every detail. We had access to the spa, gym, and three superb restaurants at the San Luis while being separate and private from the main hotel. They brought us breakfast in bed and lunch and dinner at a table set up under the stars by the pool. Sarah, the evening server, did a wonderful job meeting our every need. I can’t say enough good about our stay. It was perfect in every way and worth every penny!
