I have stayed here several times and will again next year. There are a few places to eat within walking distance. Close to cruise port. The hotel staff has always been friendly and helpful to me. The breakfast is like all others but there is a Denny's next door if you want a big breakfast.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, the last time in June of 2014. I appreciate the fact that there is a place you can bring your pet. The BEST part of this hotel is the staff....everyone you encounter that works there is nice, smiling, helpful and make you feel like you are really welcome there....

We have friends in Galveston TX. We always stay at the La Quinta (east) Seawall. The prices are very good. There is a free breakfast offering. The location is great for those who want to walk along the Seawall and enjoy all things that Galveston has to offer. The rooms are clean. The bed feels Great. Having a refrig &...

We really enjoyed our stay! This hotel is right across from the beach. There are many restaurants close by. We will stay at this hotel again. Very good views. A/C worked fine and stayed on so we slept with the white noise.

Beautiful stay at the Sparking City on the Gulf of Mexico. Lot's of fun things to do for all ages. Excellent places to eat. Moody Gardens is a must place to see, along with the Moody House. Kimah resort is close and a fun place to visit too. People were very friendly, however most of them were from out of...

I booked our room through Booking.com for 2 nights at $258.00. What they (or the hotel) failed to mention is that I was paying $179.00 (w/tax and fees $205.00) for one night and $79.00 plus tax and fees for Sunday night. I had to checkout on Sunday morning due to unforeseen circumstances and was hit with a checkout bill for...

If you are looking for a 50s beach motel, this is your place. Our room was clean but that was all we could say for it. The carpet and flooring were old and showing wear; parking was non-existent (the Denny's takes up 1/2 of the parking lot with reserved spaces); air conditioning was straining to keep the room cool. We...

I was naive to think we would be okay by booking a chain hotel. This is our last stay at any La Quinta. THAT is how bad it was. The location is all this hotel has going for it. I requested a gulf view room (#326) and we did receive that. This hotel is in very poor condition. Tired after...

Stay away from this place. I paid $150 for one night. For this kind of money I expected a clean room with a working air conditioner. I did not get either of these. I even got a lumpy bed to go with a horrible room. Pile of hair in the shower. Black smudges on the shower curtain, and a air...

Horrible. Stay clear of this place. Stayed here on September 12, 2015. Glad I only booked one night. Pile of long brown hair in the shower. Black smudges on the shower curtain. Beds were lumpy. Air conditioner cooled poorly. It was not hot outside. The room would have probably been unbearable if it had been hot but we had an...
