They were accommodating, I requested joining rooms and was able to get them. The ladies were all great. I did only give them 4 stars because when we went to ask the housekeeper on our floor for more towels, she required we bring the dirty ones, we did. She only was giving us 2 towels for 2 rooms with 8 people combined. My husband asked for more due to issue and she told him "I am not your maid" which I stated, no you're not a maid, you are a housekeeper. We had already put the "do not disturb" sign on our doors so that was 2 less rooms they had to get to. My husband was appalled and asked for her name. She then went on and said she was not responsible for our rooms, we were only 2 rooms down from where she was cleaning. She said that our housekeeper went somewhere and would be back. Needless to say my husband asked for her name. The housekeeper assigned to our rooms came to knock on our door and provided us with what was needed. She was definitely more kind. My grandma was a housekeeper at a hotel so I definitely don't take them for granted nor am I ever rude. 2nd, we put the signs out so they wouldn't come in, they came in anyways because they left a note on the complimentary pads, it was a nice one wishing us a good day, but the point was that we asked they not enter our room. They did. Other than that I had a wonderful experience and would return. Conveniently located near many stores, restaurants, souvenir shops, ect. Breakfast was fresh and hot. Yes both days breakfast hours were real busy, but food was great. Galveston is a tourist attraction so I expect the hotels to stay busy.

The room was small but nice. There was an awesome view. Two small elevators that are too small and slow. My biggest complaint is no continental breakfast, as advertised. Worse still, the coffee area was an absolute mess. I understand about COVID. COVID is not a license to neglect customer service. If all amenities are not available, it should be upfront with price reduction or at least an apology. The hotel I stayed at there in June had individual wrapped cinnamon rolls, coffee and juices were clean and stocked.

From the check in with Quentin (and cookies) to interacting with Cindy (she made recommendations to La King’s Confectionery) and Roy during breakfast as well as during the week being helped by Dustin with seafood recommendations to Katie’s Seafood & Tierra making cookies again for the kids, the customer service and friendly atmosphere set the tone of the trip.
I wish I could remember the name of the lady who cleaned our rooms because she was great and waking up to the sunrise on the 5th floor was wonderful.
The location to beach was great, and we were surrounded by so man dining options that was in walking distance.
The complimentary breakfast was the same everyday, but it still had something for everyone. The only thing I didn’t like was that the bananas weren’t always in the best condition, but when I brought it to Cindy’s attention she rectified it.
I used the laundry room and pool and was pleased with both. This hotel made traveling with young children very accommodating. We could stay here again.

Absolutely disgusting hotel in a great location. The staff was friendly with the exception of the rude manager. This place needs a site inspection as I am very concerned with how they are still operational especially with the Covid 19 pandemic happening.
There were people grilling under the wing of the hotel and a party of at-least 20 people. Very ghetto and a fire hazard but ok it's off the beach. However, the rooms themselves smell awful. The elevator is still down and based on the reviews of others has been down for quite sometime. These pics are only some of the issues as the entire building looks like it needs to be sanitized.Additionally I paid $100 for a Queen and the room was in a corner with what looks like a full size bed. I couldn't even stay the night as the room was too filthy. If the dirt is visible within the walls imagine the dirt within the fabric furnishings.

DON’T, JUST DON’T! We originally had adjoining rooms with a beach view. Woke up to a bed bug on the wall and one in the bed. The front desk did move us rooms however they we not adjoining and did not have a beach view, with a promise that the day manager would call me. Prior to moving rooms I had to pack up our personal belongings from each room into small clear trash bags (30) so that we could see if any of the bed bugs were in our clothes, shoes or towels. The manager did call, she stated it wasn’t a bed bug because when they “squished “ it there wasn’t any blood and that the best she could do is let us leave ( it was Saturday & no one else on the island had any rooms available) and not charge us or credit one our room $69.00 ….We did end up leaving/checking out and going home that evening. I just checked my bank account and see that I was charged $301.00 per room per night. I called the hotel, the desk clerk was familiar with our name and room problems, he transferred me to the day manager who literally just argued with me over the phone and “evidently” forgot that she said we could leave and not be charged & was not truthful regarding our conversation last Saturday morning. In the end I asked her if customer service was not the hotels priority, she never responded to my question she just continued to state facts about the hotels pricing. BE WARNED, this hotel is about money not customer service or hospitality. …By the way I verified the bug I took a picture of was in fact a bed bug.

We enjoyed a long Easter weekend at the Quality Inn and Suites Galveston, which was about the 7th time we have stayed here over the years. Just like on our prior visits, we found the hotel comfortable, well located, with clean rooms, attentive staff, and a nice view of the Gulf of Mexico. The front desk staff that made it so easy for our stay were Priscilla, Esmeralda, Suzanne, Raquel, and Lacey. Our room attendants were Mary, Julia, and Sandra, which at our request, provided us fresh towels each day (we just wanted to swap towels this time). To start our day, we walked out the front door to the beach each morning. Then we returned to Seawall Blvd., and enjoyed the nearby restaurants and attractions. With Kroger one block away, you can certainly buy what you need for a fun time. We thank the entire hotel staff for giving us such a good vacation. See you again!

Location was good. Room was good and clean enough; however no hot water 2 out of 4 mornings. When front desk notified, they commented, "Yeah, it's being worked on" and acted as if we shouldn't have said anything.
Common areas were filthy. Breakfast room trash cans were overflowing every morning before 7 am when I came down (before breakfast was even offered). A couple of mornings there was spilled coffee on the floor. Laundry room was dirty with trash can overflowing and leaves from outside all over the place. Dryer lint filter had not been cleaned in a long time.
Seriously disappointed as we expect better from Quality Inn.

Dear Kathy, Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We were happy to see you chose our facilities and great location on the beach! We do have a fabulous site and location on the beach where we provide the best value on the Seawall! Although we are displeased that you found our water temperature unsatisfactory, your review will be used to enhance our staff training in this area. As you know, not all issues are as easy to resolve. We did fix the problem. We clean the breakfast area every morning but coffee is available 24 hours. We do our best to keep up, but with a skeleton crew it can be difficult at times. We hope you will return soon. Yours Truly, Management

You'd think with current Covid circumstances the hotel chain Choice Hotels would school their staff on better Member customer service. I am a light sleeper and always request a room on the top floor so I don't have "heard of elephants" over my head. This was the first home in recent months of road travel that would not honor my request. "to make it easy on the housekeeping staff we are using on three floors, but the type of room you booked is not available. You can take a different room, or I will make a note not to book the room above your head." Didn't take long but I had a heard of elephants over my head as well as loud music. I call the desk and she said they would be notified to quiet down. It took a while and eventually their noise was sightly less. I was forced to put earbuds in and tried to get to sleep. Didn't work very well. In the morning a large truck parked in the lot right by my window had grungy LOUD obnoxious "music" playing that went on and on and on. I spoke of my experience when I checked out and the desk gal was not sympathetic, saying those people had booked before me and demanded that room. SO! I was lied to! To save work for the housekeeping staff...for pete's sake the hotel wasn't even half full.....I was cheated out of a relaxing pleasant night.

Hi, I am not sure what being on a lower floor has to do with Covid. We did not have a king suite on an upper level. You booked the room on the day of. It was the last king suite we had available for the night. She offered you a room on the 3rd floor since the guest had not checked into the room at the time. You refused that offer. The front desk offered a different room type on an upper floor and you refused the offer. There was nothing else she could offer you at that point. She was trying to accommodate you to the best of her ability.

Upon reserving a room at this location. I was told I would receive a room with a view. I checked in to room 412 and the key did not function, was given another key to the same room it did not function. A parent came down the hall and stated their child was in the room. came back downstairs with my luggage and was given room 102 upon entering the room there was water on the carpet and mildew smell in the room from a broken air condition., TV did not have a remote, and the window was blocked with a palm tree. the staff asked me did I prefer another room and I declined because by this time it was 12:30 a.m. and I needed rest. The next morning I asked to be credited for the first night and was told they could only take $25 off. Talked to the manager and this foll of a person has no customer service bone in his body, matter of fact he hung the phone up in my face. My recommendation is to never stay at this hotel. sleep in your car if you have to. I canceled my membership and future reservations through choice hotels thanks to this idiot manager. NO CHOICE HOTEL!!!

They don't have transportation we left our vehicle there. And Uber picked us up
Indoor-but they have a deal with the red roof inn and it has an outside heated pool that quality inn guests can use
I agree with the other individuals that responded. If you need an exact answer call the property direct. They should be more than willing to tell you. Evidently there are various sizes and features. Good luck
