There are not enough words to express how wonderful the Lasker Inn is! Richard hosted us again, and always makes us feel like family! The first time was as a host for us as we helped lead a youth conference. Since that time, Richard kept in touch throughout the year, so when Brian got engaged, it was a natural decision...

What an AMAZING experience! The Lasker Inn is more than a place to stay in Galveston, it is an unforgettable experience! Our accommodations were made on our behalf as we came to town to volunteer for a youth conference over the weekend, so our expectations were simple. When we arrived, it was if we had entered the 1800's, but with...

This wasn't our first visit to the wonderful Lasker Inn , nor will it be our last! Our extended family had a full weekend of special times at the Lasker during the holidays. We filled this beautiful bed and breakfast with several families to celebrate a Grandmother's important birthday and my son's graduation from the Texas Maritime Academy at Texas...

Mary, Thanks for your kind remarks and awesome review. It was such a pleasure hosting your family & friends for such a special weekend. Not often do we get to celebrate two such important events in one weekend. The Lasker just swelled with family and love for three days! Congratulations to Stephen on his graduation and to grandmother's milestone birthday!...

An acquaintance recommended the Lasker Inn when my daughter and I were headed to Galveston on business. I can't say I've ever felt so relaxed on a business trip. The rooms -- all suites -- are large and beautifully done, with period Victorian decor but modern bathrooms and a wide selection of toiletries -- not just those little bottles of...

I was in a wedding at the Lasker, and the wedding party also stayed there for the weekend. The place was just gorgeous. High ceilings and ornately detailed finishes, immaculately clean rooms, beautiful antique-like decor. Richard, the gentleman who hosted us, was so welcoming and helpful and FUN! The breakfast each morning was absolutely out of this world, as was...

My husband and I decided to 'get away' for a couple of days before all the holiday preparation and festivities. This was our first time to stay at a bed-and-breakfast. Did this place ever exceed our expectations! The historic house is amazing, large rooms with high ceilings, the interior beautifully decorated for the holidays. We stayed in the spacious bridal...

What an amazing weekend! We decided to host an Afternoon Tea during Dickens on the Strand during the first weekend of December 2016 (not during the redo event the next weekend due to the rain and flooding). I was blown away by the communications, the care taken by Richard the Manager, and the fabulous food! From the initial interaction we...

Beautiful historic home in the heart of the city. Beyond our expectations. Outstanding breakfast and overall service. Richard is awesome and really enjoys his guests. The bar was wonderful. We enjoyed wine in the afternoons and coffee on the expansive balcony in the mornings. Definitely a place we will visit for years to come. Guye and Melissa A
