While the actual rooms are nothing special, this hotel certainly is. Everything about this place exudes charm and service. The staff is friendly and they all have so much personality (Big shout out to Lisa the bartender). The hotel and the lobby are historic and beautiful with old charm and grace but blended with updates like the gorgeous newer swimming...

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and the exceptional service at Hotel Galvez during your half marathon. And, we hope that you had a great race. You should add the Divas Half Marathon in April to your list. Please stay with us again soon.

We had NO ROOM SERVICE this past weekend! We arrived on Friday afternoon; we asked for the room to be cleaned on Saturday -- my husband told housekeeping in the hallway to make sure the room was cleaned and to place fresh towels in the bathroom. Got back to the room at 1:00 a.m. only to find that they had...

We stayed here 3 nights before our cruise as part of our honeymoon. We stayed on the haunted 5th floor...lets say no more about that. In our room was a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberrys. We very much appreciated this. Clean room, friendly staff and lovely pool area. Will definately be back in the near future.

I wondered why while booking a reservation it was so hard to find a room that properly accommodates a family of three (two adults and a toddler), and while the only room that fit the bill was one that offered "two double beds." Two double beds is weird. How on earth do you situate yourselves with that type of bedding...

On a whim we decided to spend a weekend in Galveston.. My husband and I had never stayed at the Gálvez so we decided let's do it. The building itself is beautiful and very historic. The room is not what we expected. It was small, very small! I would even go as far as saying smaller than New York City...

My husband and I booked a last minute trip down to the Hotel Galvez this past Valentines week-end using Booking.com. I had forgotten about Mardi Gras, but it was not a huge inconvenience. We have stayed here for many years and were delightfully surprised that the hotel is in wonderful condition. The hotel has been smartly updated while in keeping...

Looked forward to a stay at a grand hotel, and was disappointed. No coffee in lobby, no snacks. Carpet in room was filthy and old. Worst of all, water waste in room appalling.
