Wonderful place to stay. Room and amenities perfect. Very comfortable bed with plenty of room to spread out. Please eat at a Sarah's downstairs, food and staff are amazing. Cute boutiques to walk to, great shopping area. Highly recommend!

We spent a weekend at The Shady Lady in the Garden Room. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean and well decorated. We visited the restaurant downstairs twice during our stay and the food was very good! We will be back. Thanks Donna and staff.

Brought my wife here to celebrate our 5th anniversary. The room was amazing and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, providing us with champagne and flowers at my request. They prepared a table for us at dinner and made the visit very special. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend both the room and the restraunt. We will be returning in the future!

We stayed at The Shady Lady in the Madame's Suite for a night. The room had an amazingly comfortable king sized bed, along with a twin sized bed in a nook to the side of the room. The linens were very nice, plush towels, soft sheets, pillowy comforter, everything looked, smelled and felt clean. There was a tv in the room, I assumed it worked but we didn't care to turn it on. The thermostat was in the room, but we never had to adjust it. The temperature was comfortable, plus we had a ceiling fan, and a window that we were able to prop open. The Gathering Place outside our room had a game table, and 2 other tables to sit at where you could see the courthouse across the way, and the street below. Waters were available, and a few boardgames to play as well. The only thing that set this apart from a traditional B&B like I'm accustomed to was breakfast. Breakfast was ready for us in the Gathering Place when we wanted it, but we heated it up ourselves. Everything was there for us to use, along with instructions. Breakfast consisted of quiche with salsa, sopapilla cheesecake, fresh fruit and yogurt. Everything tasted excellent!! Being in the Madame's Suite we could hear the floors creaking as people walked by to their rooms, we could also hear traffic below, and an occasional train. At no time was this ever an annoyance to us, just a little background noise that added to the character and charm of the place. Donna, the hostess, was very friendly and accommodating. I showed up early and had no trouble whatsoever checking in. She gave me the code I needed to come and go, along with her information in case any problem arose, and offered to adjust the temperature for us if needed. The staff at the restaurant below was helpful and courteous too. We loved our stay, even as short as it was! This is definitely a place I would like to come for a stay again sometime.

This was my second time staying at The Shady Lady. After visiting one of the local wineries in Muenster, we spent the night at The Shady Lady, this time in the Victorian Garden Room. The room was very nice, with a king size bed that just fit in the nook at the back of the room. The clawfoot tub was a nice touch, although I felt like Will Ferrell in Elf because I was peeking above the shower curtain that was added when the tub was converted to a shower. The room could have used a bit more lighting. But overall, the room served its purpose well. Everyone was very friendly at check in, and we also at dinner at Sarah's On The Square downstairs on Saturday evening. The food was great quality, and the desserts were scrumptious. The staff were wearing masks, which made us feel more comfortable. The breakfast provided was nice, quiche, fresh fruit, a cream cheese pastry of some kind, and orange juice. There was a Keurig in the room for coffee.

Take a step back in time; The Shady Lady is a historic gem! Donna and staff were delightful. Attention to detail was everywhere from the chocolates, to coffee bar, to super comfy bed to luxe toiletries. I'll be back!

My husband and I stayed here for a short Valentine's weekend, and we absolutely loved this charming boutique hotel with a lively history! We chose the Chisholm Trail room, and found the room to be clean, well appointed with coffee & water, robes, and plenty of soft towels. The King bed was super comfortable, and the rustic decor charming. We had booked a dinner reservation at Sarah's on the Square for dinner downstairs, and the dinner did not disappoint! We had a delicious meal, cocktails and dessert. The owner, Donna, was so nice to chat with, and our waitress was fantastic. In the morning we had breakfast waiting for us in the sitting room upstairs with a lovely (and snowy!) view of the town square. The quiche, fresh fruit and pastries were wonderful. We will definitely be back to enjoy the hotel, and the hospitality, soon.

Loved the historic building and the story behind the building. The room could have used a little TLC (window treatments were crooked, flooring missing some tile, air vent needs to be cleaned, etc.) but overall very cute. All rooms are softly light (relaxing) but up a long stretch of stairs with no elevator. Makes it a little hard to get luggage to your room. Also, street noise (including a train) was distracting. It was great to go downstairs and have dinner. Very convenient and fun.

We reserved the entire bnb for our group. Found it to be beautifully appointed, comfortable and inviting. Beds were luxurious. We had lunch downstairs. It was wonderful, fresh and reasonable. Breakfast was delicious, quiche, cheesecake sopapillas and fresh fruit. We would have enjoyed shopping the square so we will be back!
