We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past however our recent visit to see our granddaughter graduate was marred by bullying and accusations of theft. The hotel requested we move our room on our second day of our stay. Being my sister is disabled and alone in the room she advised the staff she could not "move the room" There was no reason given for moving our room however my sister agreed if the staff moved all of our belongings..later that night we found our roomkey was disabled. I called downstairs to Jean Carlos ( clerk ) at desk. He and security appraoched me whilst I waited. He accused us of "stealing room glasses, pillowcases and hangers" We were still guests in the hotel. He then held us hostage in the room with his foot against the door demanding to search our room and luggage..being the hotel staff moved our personal belongings there was no way we would steal any of the aforementioned..my elderly disabled sister was now crying and took her clothes off the hangers that was moved by the staff and gave him the hangers leaving her clothes on the floor. For 45 minutes he accused us bullied us and threatens us. Finally I used my phone to video this thug then he started flailing his arms around "don't video me don't video me" that was the only way we got him out of the room. He then charged my account $850.00 for items he claimed we "stole" The entire trip was ruined and these two older women will never never visit this classless thug hotel again. We contacted Corporate with our concerns and the only offering was "removing the non removed items from my bill" Another slap in the face from this thug team. Omni we don't want your hangers your pillowcases nor your room glasses! What a vile staff. We did not sleep at all that night knowing the thug has a master key and could potentially enter the room. We feared for our lives and still shake thinking of this aberrant behavior directed at two elderly women ..My advice? Stay at motel hell as this place is even worse!…
This was my second time staying here. The first time my husband and I stayed for our anniversary. I loved it so much, I booked it again for my “me” weekend! Both times, I’ve stayed in the Frisco Suite. The suite is perfect! It’s like a mini apartment. The only thing missing is a microwave! The room is clean and everything is comfortable. The coffee table in the living area is the perfect size for a puzzle! The staff have been incredible! They even sent me a bottle of champagne to thank me for the review I did after my first stay!! I have started taking “me” vacations to get away from it all and my goal is to never have to leave the room. If it wasn’t for COVID, I would meet that goal! Unfortunately, with COVID, there is no room service, however, the location is perfect and within walking distance to several great restaurants and you can also order delivery! I’ve deemed this hotel to be my new home away from home whenever I need a weekend to myself. The TV’s have smart technology that will allow you to “cast” your Netflix, hulu, etc, from your phone onto the tv so you can watch your own stuff. I love this hotel!…
I stayed here for a work convention and was very impressed. The room was perfect with very comfortable beds, a nice bathroom and the hotel was very quiet at night. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They did a fantastic job with the meals and the meeting spaces. We used the entire 2nd floor for our meetings and there was always someone refilling the drinks station and checking in with our events staff. I'll definitely look forward to visiting over night for a staycation. I need to figure out where they buy their pillows because it was the best night sleep I'd had in a while!
Omni Hotel Frisco at the Star Poor customer service: I called front desk for help with a reservation and they kept me on hold for 10 minutes - coming back every 5 minutes to see if I was still holding and then they hung up the phone on me. Rude Manager: Called back and spoke to Angela Suescun and explained what had happened with the hold time and hanging up and she quickly brushed it off. I then proceeded to tell her of a complicated situation with my reservation and asked for assistance. She was very curt and made little effort to help me (changing reservation). She then told me to call my third party agent to book my hotel stay and when I called them, they said that the hotel reported that the date was sold out. Very suspicious that this would have happened within 5 minutes. I have experience with making complicated travel arrangements and planning corporate events for senior executives. It is a shame that the Omni at The Star in Frisco did not make effort to win over a guest/potential business.…
My wife and I are always very excited to come here. The employees are some of the best we have experienced out of all we have come in contact with for years in many travels. And of course the facility and rooms are always impeccable clean. What a joy to walk up to Jean Carlos at the front desk. Never met him before, but glad I got to this visit. Extremely nice, upbeat, helpful man. As always, the service and food was excellent at the restaurant. And we love the true heated pool that can actually be used without turning blue in the winter time in Texas! We can’t wait to come back to this property again.
This is my staycation favorite in Frisco. I'm a Black Tier Select Guest, which Zahra, the Loyalty Ambassador, and Sandy, who is the Director of Guest Services, both exhibited great customer service and went above and beyond to accommodate my room needs, as well as providing snacks/treats and drinks in the room. My two connecting rooms overlooked the plaza, which made for a great viewing experience to watch the Cowboys Christmas Extravaganza down below.
My husband and I booked a room to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted with wine at check in and upgraded with a view when I mentioned our anniversary. While we were out to dinner Jonathan and Angela decked out our room with flower petals, towel swans on the bed, cake, and champagne. It was amazing! This hotel is beautiful and the area is fun with loads to do. The rooms are really nice. Beds are comfortable. Rain shower is great. Key rig for coffee. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again!
My wife and I heard really great things about this hotel, so we stayed here for two nights for our anniversary. I really can’t say enough about how great this hotel is. The valet guys are super great and helpful. They work hard. We go in to check in and instantly notice how clean everything and everywhere is. We had a extremely upbeat, nice, helpful woman ( Chantel ) check us in and explain how everything works. We get to our room and we were impressed. They had a large piece of chocolate cake and a bottle of wine waiting for us for our anniversary. We tore into that. Beautiful view. The bed rates up there with the most comfy bed we have had at anywhere we have been. Very large T. V. with pay for movies. Lots of plug ins. Fridge, Keurig, and a very comfy couch. The shower was pretty cool also with the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. One thing we didn’t like was the shower facet. Hard to figure out. Super nice restaurant with awesome food. We absolutely loved the pool and area. Pool was heated with an infinity end. A bar next to the pool for food and drinks. A couple of other employees that really impressed me, besides the girl that checked us in, we’re Abu ( Hope I spelled that right) and in the mornings when I went to get coffee, Brittany. She made my morning start off right! Great job here Omni. We will definitely be back.…
Actual stay was March 2019. Convenient to Dallas Cowboys’ HQ. Went for a concert at the Ford Center so all I had to do was walk out the doors of the hotel and I was at the venue entrance. My room was nice but the shower looked like a chemistry set and I finally figured out how to turn it on. The kids that were there loved the Tostitos Plaza replica football field with the giant video screen showing clips of Cowboys’ games. The entertainment district across the start had many restaurants but I could not find the type of food that I liked. Happily I found Norma’s Cafe which was more of a home cooking style. Lots to do and see in this area. I took a tour of the Cowboys’ HQ twice and was lucky enough the have a former staff member on a Super Bowl team who was taking the tour on my second visit. He told interesting stories. Sometimes former players will show up in a tour group too. If it’s during football season and players are there tourists are not allowed to take photos of them, this is an NFL rule. If yours are going on during COVID, be aware that large handbags are not allowed, this is also an NFL rule. Several women in my tour group didn’t read the rules and had to walk back to where they had parked to leave their handbags. They don’t hold on to them for tourists. READ THE RULES. The facility is governed by NFL rules like those of other NFL teams…
