Barons Creekside receives high praise for its pristine and peaceful environment, where clean and cozy accommodations meet rustic charm. The fusion of Swiss and Texan decor, alongside a lively club atmosphere, resonates well with guests. Many appreciate the exceptional service provided by the hospitable owners and attentive staff. While some guests note the cost as steep, the amenities—including serene ambiance and live music—often justify the expense. However, visitors with accessibility needs should be aware that certain cabins may not be suitable.

If you're going to the Texas Wine Country, this is the place to stay! The cottages are so comfortable and clean. They have everything in them you could possibly need! They have a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, hot plate, dishes, cork screw, wine glasses, and more. The grounds are beautiful and we loved the very friendly ducks. You can tell the owner put a ton of love into this place. It's super close to many wineries and Main Street, but when you're there you feel like you are out on a country ranch. The restaurant is great and was busy with live music on a Saturday night. The restaurant is situated away from the cottages, so you still get a quite get away even if the restaurant is full. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Was looking for a family getaway, and haven’t been out in public much since the pandemic started, and thought this would be the right idea. We LOVED this place!

We rented the Victorian house, and personally thought it was the best one. We took every opportunity to sit out on the porch - breakfast, reading, playing games, lunch, dinner, etc. We picked up food from restaurants, and ate at home. Vaudeville was our favorite food spot!

The kitchen had all the supplies we could need, the beds were super comfortable, and it was a nice touch to have cans of bug spray outside, hand soap and hand sanitizer throughout the house.

The only small issue we had was the bathtub. My mom is 5’2 and in her 80’s, and she had trouble getting into the tub/shower because she had to lift her leg up high had nothing to really hold on to as she got in.

We also enjoyed the live music (socially distanced), charcuterie platter and wine at the Club Bistro at sunset. Perfect way to end the trip!

We had the most amazing visit to Barons CreekSide! Their extremely personalized service is unmatched with attention to every detail to make your visit so enjoyable and comfortable! The cabins are very clean, comfortable, well appointed and unique. Fishing and a vineyard onsite, precious and friendly ducks and cats, and deer! A duck even layed eggs right outside our cabin. This is more than an overnight stay— it’s a memorable occasion!! We got the last cabin available— they are very busy despite Covid-19 and are taking every precaution to keep you safe- contactless check in and check out, disinfectants in the cabin and social distancing at the gathering for live music, food and beverages.

The Mesquite Farmhouse at Baron's Creek was a fabulous find for us. The cottage itself is really quaint and hyper clean and has all the facilities & more you need to be self sufficient. We loved and made use of the outdoor jacuzzi and the view out from the porch was serene, especially the grazing deer in the morning. The whole complex is nicely spaced out so you really get a strong privacy feeling. It was also great having a Club onsite and we were pleasantly surprised to check it out on the Friday night and find a good ol rollicking blues concert going on. It was great to have fun and a few adult beverages and then not to have to drive home. Any interactions we had with the onsite staff and management were also fantastic. This is definitely a place we will be returning to.

Rustic. Tranquil. Inviting. Friendly. Funky. Secluded, but close in. Quiet. Great friendly owners. Comfy beds. Split rail fences. All you hear is birds in the morning. Fun club. Good music.

We stayed the 3-night minimum at duplex, which is the two connecting units, each with kitchen and living areas. "Sunrise" has a fink bed with a tub/shower, and "Sunset"has twin Queens plus a hot tub deck. Short drive into town, but you feel as if you are way out in the country. Our new go-to place in the Berg.

6 of us/3 Couples stay at the Big Lodge. The place was very nice and beautiful. The place had 3 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms. 2 bedrooms upstairs with 1 full size bath. another full bathroom at the back door next to the kitchen. The third bedroom and bathroom was a master suite. Nice size living area with fire place, with a small TV 32" or less in the left side of the fire place. Smaller TV in the Master Suite. No TV in the bedrooms upstairs. We all felt that they could have at least a BIG Screen TV in the living room area over the fireplace and not a small tv to the left of the fireplace.

We stayed in the covered wagon for 2 nights. My son has recently turned 21 so the 3 of us stayed here.
It was a fun adventure!
The wagon is clean. It has lights. And bunk beds and a king bed.
The bathroom is right next to the wagon and the bathroom is climate controlled with heater and AC. Very hot water too. Towels, toiletries, etc.
the wagon has a fire pit next to it so you can enjoy that, as well.
We slept well. It was nice and quiet.
There is NOT heat or AC so keep that in mind. There is a fan for you to use. There is also an electric blanket, but we didn’t need it either.
We visited in between Christmas and NYE so we didn’t need the fan.
You can stand and walk in the wagon.
It was fun! Give it a try!

We loved the rustic cabins and the relaxing ambience. The cabin was very comfortable and it was properly stocked with towels, soaps and kitchen items. The grounds are beautiful and we loved watching the resident ducks and the cats play around the property. The owners, Daniel and Deborah, are lovely hosts, they aim to please and they are very good at communicating. They make sure you receive a warm welcome and they make it clear that they are there if you need them. We highly recommend this place.

We stayed in the Davos which was perfect for relaxing. Internet speed allowed us to work from the cabin on Thursday and Friday. We enjoyed gumbo, tacos, peach cobbler, wine and music at The Club our first night. Everyone on the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed meeting the owners Daniel and Debbie. You really do feel like they are welcoming you to their home. We texted several times before we arrived and they kindly answered all my questions. The location is centrally located so it was easy to get to all the local attractions. Our last night we picked up a pizza and brought it back to enjoy with a fire (wood available on site) and wine we had purchased that day. We made friends with the very friendly ducks and cats that wander up to the porch looking for a treat. We are already planning our return trip and look forward to becoming regulars.

We cannot say enough good things about our stay At Barons CreekSide and fully intend to come back. Some lodging changes were offered during temperamental weather (thunder storm) and we greatly appreciated them. We felt like our experience was important to the owners. The grounds were really lovely, lots and lots of birds, sweet Creek and a porch that was perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. The property is close to town, everything felt convenient. I literally cannot think is a single thing that lessened our positive experience, happy to find this gem!

I would say so....the only animals we saw running around were the ducks by the creek and I'm sure there were nocturnal critters running around at night when everyone was sound asleep
