Looking for reasonably price basic lodging...this is it. A bit far from downtown to walk but that isn't a problem. Built at least 70 years ago these are " cottage " like units around a courtyard. Most have covered parking ( hide your ride back in the day). Rooms are very clean. Some highway noise.

This review has two halves. First half: Hotel managers, Matt and Taylor, welcomed me with heartfelt, easy-going, pleasant neighborliness. Check-in went smoothly. Dropped off our bags into room 19 (large, pleasant furniture, strange bathroom layout though, nice linens, Saltillo tile, and "Texas" style décor). Took off for wine-tasting afternoon followed by dinner. After dinner returned to room for overnight stay....

The pictures on the website show a lot cuter place than what it really is it's an old run-down motel from the sixties that was clean but very dingy and Dinky definitely not worth the money we pay to stay

My dog and I stayed in the Lone Star Room which was very cute. The mismatched furnishings added to its country charm. My only complaint was that the bed was very firm. The owners went above and beyond, helping me with my ill dog and understanding that I needed to check out a day earlier. They even refunded my night....

Booked a room through booking.com but when I got to motel they would not honor the booking price. Charged me $10 more than booking.com price. However, the room was small but nice. Everything was clean, had in room coffee, fridge and microwave. Would stay there again, just want book online.

We were looking for the "classic" motel to be able to sit out by our door and watch the sunset, traffic, and locals go buy. We accomplished it at this hotel/motel. It is now being refurbished and managed by a grandchild and fiance and would an outstanding job they are doing. This will be out choice of stay every time...

Nice location friendly owner and good coffee for the coffee pot but beware of carpets at a pet friendly motel, the bottoms of our feet where very black after walking barefoot in the room we had, still not a terrible night, and a pool would have been nice but we got what we paid for

We made reservations only a few days ahead of time, and it's hard to find something in Fredericksberg, Tx on short notice. This motel is old, and it is not up-to-date. The beds were comfortable, the TV was big, there was a mini-frig and a microwave, and everything in the bathroom worked. Every corner was clean, which I really appreciated....

My wife and I stayed here one night and were very pleased with the room. My wife said it was the best bed she had slept in (we had stayed at two other hotels in Houston that week). Personally, I thought the mattress was a little too firm. The room was clean, well decorated, had a microwave and small refrig,...

This hotel is run by a very happy couple. They are friendly and helpful. I chose this hotel because it is pet friendly and fit my budget. My wife and I felt right at home and especially our dog. The hotel is located on a busy street so there is some traffic noise. But this can't really be helped and...
