We got together with 3 other couples to do the wine tour. The wine tour was great, but we had so much fun at the cottages! We sat outside, had some drinks, laughed, and best of all, fed the deer and elk. Make sure you buy deer corn so you can feed them! The cottages were clean and comfortable.

What a wonderful time we had staying at Country Inn and Cottages! Our cottage was clean, comfortable, and enjoyable, with leather couch and chair and comfortable bed. We loved sitting on the porch, listening to the animals, and the quietness. The elk and deer were fun to feed and watch. Anything we requested was taken care of immediately by Jeanette. Jeff went way beyond expectations. Thank you, Jeff. We loved staying here and will definitely do so again! We would highly recommend these cottages.

It is a remodeled motel with small building as cottages. We were a little put off because all the normal amenities are additional charges. The double room was cramped and the shower/bath was cracked and didn't work properly. Also there was a problem .with the toilet flushing. All of that said it was the highest rated hotel in town for a reasonable price. One small thing, when they cleaned the room they threw away personal items and open packages of snacks drinks we left in the room. Overall it was ok, but Im not sure we would go back.

On short notice, they had us in a cottage, outside of town. When we showed up, owner was walking the property, that shows me he cares. We had a good visit with him, super nice guy. Very relaxing, quiet, and clean. Good place to sit outside and a have a beverage of your choice. Thanks!

We have stayed here a few times. Sometimes just the wife & myself, other times with family. This place never disappionts and provides a great place to decompress and recharge the batteries. I can't state in words how much this place means to us and our family. Which explains why we continue to come back !!!

Most reviews here and the high ratings are for the cottages. This is a review of the motel, a completely different experience. It was not bad. It was very reasonably priced even on a busy weekend. It’s an old, old motel, completely upgraded and clean. Rooms were big enough for two queen beds. Bathroom was ok. Heating and cooling seemed fine. Parking right outside the door was a nice, old feature. The lady in the office was pleasant. Didn’t bother with the pool. Close enough to town but not in busy traffic. Negatives were: it is plain but functional. Beds were way too soft. Sink drained slowly though the shower was ok. No refrig or microwave. Basically it was an acceptable choice when the better hotels are all full or $250 a night.

The Cottages are wonderful! This is THE place for my husband and I to stay when we take a trip up to Fredericksburg. It's so peaceful and nice, and the elk are simply majestic...they make us so happy. We love it very much, we even did our engagement photo shoot here! It's a place unlike any other and we'll continue to come back again and again.

Friends and family stayed at motel and the cottages for a wedding. It was a great experience for all! The office staff Jeanette and Sissy were very nice and made sure everyone had what they needed! One reminder is to ask for a microwave and refrigerator if you want one. Not provided automatically but as soon as we asked we received this is at the motel Cottages. The cottages at the lodge had everything you needed and were absolutely awesome will go back!!! Great for wedding to have every one at cottages

The ranch offered a very relaxing and entertaining experience. The property is located next to an Elk ranch which we’re within 50 feet of our room. There is also a large herd of deer on the property which wander the property and can be observed throughout the morning and late afternoon hours A very enjoyable experience
