No complaints about the hotel in general. It was nothing special, but fine for a business trip. Get this though, I had a Zoom meeting one morning during my stay, and I used the phone in my room to dial in. My cell signal was a little sketchy, and I find the audio quality to be better if I do not use my computer for video and audio simultaneously. The Zoom meeting/call was rather involved and lasted four hours and five minutes. When I checked out, I was presented with a bill for $566.30 for the phone call. For those of you keeping score at home, that is a charge of $2.31 per minute for a TELEPHONE CALL!!! I didn't even know that long-distance charges were still a thing. I have asked the hotel for evidence of this expense on their side, or some rationale for such an abuse of a phone billing opportunity, and they have refused to help. During normal times, I travel A LOT. I will never stay in this hotel again. Shame on you Worthington Renaissance. Also, since I have stayed here, I get telemarketing calls from Marriott all the time, which are a nuisance.…
We stayed here for our anniversary due to in location and ease of access for all things Ft. Worth. The Property was excellent offering some really great amenities. The staff was amazing and very hospitable. I would recommend this property to anyone due to its location. You can get around easily either walking or catching a Lyft. Have fun.
What an awesome hotel. The staff are great, and the lobby restaurant is wonderful. Sadly that’s where the good stops. I stayed for four nights of a planned nine night stay.... the bed was okay, but waking up repeatedly each night was apparently routine here. The staff were aware of rowdy guests and freely gave points as ‘compensation’... If you want to sleep through the night, Do Not choose this hostel. (Phone auto-corrected... cannot find it in me to change to hotel) It is a beautiful location.
I was promised a city view. What I got was a view of the dirtiest window I have ever seen. Photo included. The room itself could have used some paint touch ups and the towels were like loofahs they were so scratchy. However, the bed was okay and the room seemed clean enough. I remember when this hotel was a showplace. Seems that went away along with my view.
This hotel is really very nice and I very much would like to give it a good review. However, an experience this evening was very disturbing and the hotel’s response was insufficient given the nature of what took place. A colleague and I were in the lobby bar having an appetizer this evening. A clearly drunken staff member not wearing a mask wearing a Renaissance lapel pin approached us asking if we needed a drink and for some reason offered “shots”. We are business people in our 40s and not interested in such things let alone at a seemingly upscale hotel catering to a business clientele. He slurred his words, with spittle coming from his mouth inches from my colleague’s face. We were very uncomfortable and did not understand this situation. We asked a hostess to pay attention. Based on her steps a different hotel staff member intervened and told us the drunken employee was “from another part of the hotel”. She said “he was served too many”. He continued to linger in the bar which continued to make us feel uncomfortable. Ultimately, he left and the staff member did comp our drinks. While you paid for my drinks, if my team and I get COVID from a drunken staff member behaving like this that is simply unforgivable. And why are you encouraging your own employees to drink to excess in your own bar during COVID-19? Your training protocols need to be reviewed immediately and in my opinion something more significant (other than comping one persons bill) needs to happen to ensure such wantonly dangerous behavior does not happen let alone in the middle of an escalating pandemic.…
