’d like to start by saying the property is beautiful and very well-decorated. The product line features in the bathroom was great and I’ve already ordered some for at home.

However, there were some concerns with our stay. The television in the bedroom was not functioning properly. Also, the planter in the corner of the living area will need to be weighted with something else because it fell in the middle of the night scaring us half to death. I cleaned this up but it simply kept falling.

I spent over $400 a night for this room with taxes, I expect things to work properly. Someone did come out but they were unable to get it working and didn’t really offer any solutions other than wait for maintenance. He was apparently dealing with a pipe issue and that is of course more important but it seems something could have been offered for the inconvenience we were dealing with.

Also, they walls are paper thin. We were able to hear EVERYTHING from surrounding rooms and this was rather distracting. Perhaps white noise machines would be a nice addition to the rooms so that patrons are able to simply hit a button on a nightstand if the neighboring rooms are too noisy. I want to be clear, no one was being rowdy, we simply could hear snoring, talking, etc.

The person that visited said she would discuss with management a price adjustment or what could be done since there were things not in working order. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Unable to gain access with the keyless app. Once we were in, we found out that the room we made a reservation for was given to someone else who rented out the entire upstairs for a party. We were given the room directly below them. This was not communicated to us prior to checking in. We were assured that the party would stop at 10:00. That is when the party actually started. Loud music, furniture being moved around making a loud screeching sound, constant banging of a door that led to the balcony and loud voices. Around 2:30 am the party ended, but the cleanup began with more moving of furniture and lots of glass being dumped into trash bags - we heard it all for another hour. The room was nice and clean, but it was impossible to sit and enjoy yourself with all the noise overhead. The lights were extremely bright and could not be dimmed. Even with the shades rolled down, there was exterior lighting that shined into the room. Sliding bathroom door took all your strength to close. The safety lock on the front door wasn't secured into the door frame. It's like no one checked the room to make sure it was comfortable and that everything was working properly. Wifi password nowhere to be found. The bed and the bathrobes were comfortable - too bad we couldn't sleep or enjoy the space.

I booked Hotel Revel because it’s just 2 miles from TCU but was disappointed at how sparse it is. There is no lobby, no restaurant, no bar, no basics like towel racks and no employees on site. Once booked, the hotel will send an electronic key and you let yourself into your room. They have a kitchen with Luna bars, popcorn, coffee and soft drinks but no breakfast. It’s also right across from a hospital so it’s loud at night with sirens. I don’t mind a minimalist concept but the price should reflect how minimal this hotel is. I only stayed one night and transferred to a 4 star hotel downtown that was actually cheaper. The staff who are available by phone if you need help or have questions are very friendly.

This hotel is expensive, with no service whatsoever, and cannot imagine why others like it. Its sole redeeming quality is that the rooms look modern with a nice aesthetic and high ceilings. But cold cement floors with no rugs and big gaps underneath the door ensure that you can hear everyone in the building - and they can hear you. There's no way to reach any staff (or more accurately it takes many phone calls and over 20 minutes) and even if they agree to do housekeeping (which I guess is a luxurious extra), they will never show up. The key is so modern it takes 10 minutes to enter the building after fiddling with your phone while the hot water only reaches the shower, not the sink. And don't expect any bottles of water, ice or anything else in the building - I truly don't see how they call this a hotel. Stay at your own risk.

Hotel Revel is a charming hotel with a great location! Overall, our stay was pleasurable. We walked to many of our restaurants of preference as the location was perfect walking distance from the hotel! I loved that we were provided with snacks and drinks, as well! Although the hotel fosters an independent stay with contactless check-in and no staff on-site, it was difficult to get in touch with staff when a need arose for us. Upon arrival, we noticed there was dried up lotion on the bottle pump and the body wash dispenser was completely empty. I LOVE that the hotel offers a discount for educators. At the time of inquiring about the discount, I was advised to book my weekend stay with the provided discount code and informed that my educator discount would be honored for Sunday night. Upon receiving our receipt, I noticed our bill was higher than expected. I reach out to the General Manager via email inquiring about the nightly rates and provided evidence of the written conversation about the discounts with the hotel representative, as we communicated via Facebook Messenger. We learned that instead of adjusting the rate for our Sunday night stay, as written in Messenger, our Saturday night rate was also adjusted to a higher rate. I sent the screenshots to the General Manager, yet no adjustments have been made to our credit card statement. We are disappointed that their word wasn't kept as the Facebook Messenger message stated verbatim, "We will update the Sunday night stay once you have booked." There was no mention of the Saturday night stay being adjusted. I was grateful for the quick email correspondence from the General Manager regarding my inquiries about the hotel rates. However, we are disappointed at her lack of ability to make the situation right. In addition to being an educator, I am also a travel agent. I enjoy frequenting boutique hotels so that I can recommend them to my travel clients. Unfortunately, Hotel Revel will be the first hotel, in my year and a half travel agent journey, that I will not be recommending to my clients based on my first-hand experience.

Decided to stay based on location and access to Magnolia streets. That would give it 3 stars. Otherwise, while the building is new, the entrance seems warn already. Using the keycard is fine but they need to post or include instructions on how to validate parking (hint, you text a picture of your license to the offsite manager). The rooms are big but not well finished. Some of the trim around the windows looked unfinished as were the floors. While I appreaciate the styling, there was a lot of room and little seating. The couch had crumbs and the chair and ottoman were dirty. The break room had a small amount of water, topo chico and light snacks. The rest of the building is still underconstruction so between that and the noise level in the hall when people come and go were unacceptable. The minimalistic contruction also means you can hear the guests clearly in the next room. The concept has potential but if I am on my own at a place in managing my own check in, cleaning, valet, etc I would expect to pay much less. Would not stay again.

1) insufficient directions about where to enter hotel
2) insufficient directions about how to enter the double doors to get iinside
3) noisy. Noisy traffic, noisy room-all concrete, high ceiling. Sound reverberates. Could hear neighbors clearly next door.
4) no essential luxuries that would normally be provided at this high price: towels thin & extremely scratchy, no chair in the room, only bed & 2 tables that are on each side of bed. besides the tv in front of the bed. There isn’t anywhere to put luggage except on the floor. No coffee or coffee maker provided. A refrigerator is provided that makes a humming noise.
4) the windows are floor to ceiling panel slits about 8” wide that have no covering so with the early morning light & noise of traffic do not plan to sleep in at all. You won’t.
5) overall experience is -5, the absolute worst place I’ve ever stayed. Why they can charge $250 per night for this is beyond me. It’s like one of those road motels that provide a bed & a bath. No more. I would never recommend anyone staying here.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Revel in Ft Worth for 2 nights. I’ve never written a review before on a hotel but felt compelled to write because this hotel, while offering a promising aesthetic, did not provide the advertised amenities, including basic safety standards.

Specifically:
• The entrance and elevator vestibule doors were never locked.
• There was no dedicated reserved parking, as advertised and the lot was consistently full.
• There was construction debris blocking areas of the stairwell.
• There was no chair provided in our room. We found one in the stairwell to use. (See above)
• The thermostat in our room had a “restricted” setting and was not adjustable.
• On the first night of our stay the tv remote was missing a battery. We were able to locate one in the drawer of the common area.
• The sound machine had neither a cord or battery, rendering it useless.
• While there were hangers for robes, no other hangers were provided. Similarly the bathroom setup is so sparse there is virtually no place to hang a washcloth or set a razor in the shower.

We are experienced travelers and usually enjoy modern boutique hotels, but this hotel really disappoints other than the comfortable bed and proximity to the hospital. Even a contactless hotel needs some basic oversight! I tried sending this review first to the email address on the hotel website but it was returned “undeliverable.”

Will start by being positive and saying the person responding to texts and their web messaging service was extremely on top of it and responsive. Also, cool building and well located for Fort Worth and TCU going’s on. Was also very clean.

Negatives - NO COFFEE. Have to go to coffee shop next door (which is a cool one), and that’s silly for a high quality, relatively expensive place.

Also, noisy. They need some design help and so many ways they can soften the spaces. Needs rugs and/or carpet and generally more warmth. Street noise as well as can hear other room and even floor noise. Concrete and glass isn’t quiet, even if it looks cool!

I give them credit for trying to disrupt and create a modern space and concept, but make some simply fixes.

Hotel has a nice modern look. However, the app you have to use to access the building, elevator, and room is kind of tricky at first. This made me feel like I was in some sort of horror movie. It was just a strange feeling for me.

Anyhow, the beds are very comfortable. The water pressure could be better and the water temperature could be a bit hotter. There are no cups in the room so you have to go to the 4th floor... Well, the 4th floor was nice and the view was good but I was unable to get the coffee machine to work.

While in our room I could hear everything the guest next to us was saying on his numerous Zoom calls for throughout the evening. Sounds like he was a high school teacher or counselor. I felt as if he was in the room with us.

Every time I moved my leg while sleeping, the entryway light would come on due to the motion sensor which became very annoying. I liked the motorized blinds but it took me a while to figure out how to adjust the a/c as it cut off in the middle of the night and the room became very hot.

I feel like since the rooms are accessed by smart phone they should provide charging docs or USB ports in all rooms. Also, should invest in a coffee machine in the rooms.

For the price per night I had better expectations. They also should give a better description of the rooms on the website. It is very vague. I won’t book here again but I did like being able to walk to nearby restaurants.
