Visited the hotel here in the midst of COVID. Front desk was accommodating. As in all hotels, there was limited housekeeping, but they were receptive for needs. One of the front staff was notable for his helpfulness, friendliness; that was David. He's one of the finest hotel staff I've come across. He went out of his way to make the stay more pleasant. Kudos to him.
I was hesitant and nervous about traveling with my family during a pandemic. I read how to sanitize a hotel room to ensure optimum safety. I must say that Hampton did an excellent job to ensure their best efforts were prevalent to ensure guest safety. Before opening the guest door, there was a sticker adhered to the door and frame to visually determine the rooms sanitized attention. The room smelled fresh. The bathroom squeaky clean. The remote, a high contact item, was in a plastic sleeve that allowed for control while protecting the user. Other stuff- plenty of plugs. Two sets in bathroom. USB and power outlets by the bed stand. Lighting, like any hotel is not very good. Lots of lamps though. Didn’t go to breakfast. Didn’t feel safe with large groups. Overall, a very pleasant experience. …
We stopped at the Hampton Inn in Denton on our way from Colorado to East Texas. Feeling less than comfortable traveling in the COVID-19 pandemic, we tried to minimize exposure. I made reservations online, used the electronic key on my Hilton app and had little interaction with anyone. The room had extra sanitizing and cleaning. I didn't realize until I got home, but I left my favorite pillow behind. I called the hotel and they confirmed that yes, they had my pillow. They boxed it up and shipped it home. It's extra touches like that which motivate me to provide a review. I would definitely stop at this Hampton again.
Came to Denton for a wedding. We have stayed at several Hamptons in the past and have always been satisfied with the service that we received. One reason that we like the Hampton is because of the breakfast that is included. However, when we went to breakfast at 9:20 AM we found that no breakfast was being served. I spoke to the desk clerk and was informed that they were not serving the breakfast buffet, but that there had been a snack bag that was available on a "first come, first served" basis. These bags had been handed out already that morning and no more were available. We were never informed of the lack of a breakfast buffet, or of the snack bag option, and were very disappointed in this lack of service,
This was the first time I stayed at this hotel, but it was nearly perfect. Not one thing went wrong or was stressful. My room was quiet, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast that was complimentary was very tasty and the staff went over & above for me. I would definitely stay there again.
