We stayed Thursday through Monday. Some tips from other reviews helped us make the most of things, like checking in and getting around. The tower lobby check in is the main one. The atrium lobby was rarely manned. They are far apart in this huge hotel. If able, bring your own pool towels. Bring bug spray if you’re out in the morning or evening. There were mosquitoes inside some common areas in the hotel. Two of the four days, staff at Jade Waters told us their towel cleaning service failed to pick up or return towels. They had none to give. The water park closes around 7:30 daily. At 9 (opening) people were in line to get towels and reserve seats. However we found that by one most days there were more lounge chairs available than at 10. Saturday at the park was packed and not as enjoyable. Staff said that’s a typical Saturday crowd. You cannot bring any outside drinks into the pool, including water. They checked bags at entry. The drinks and food were very expensive, but with wrist bands we could leave for lunch in our room. Bring scissors to cut them off! The media grill food was way overpriced and not very good. The grab and go convenience shop was better priced and better food, especially the breakfast croissant sandwiches and Starbucks coffee. The Gossip bar was closed the entire time. Parking was pricey considering how much space they had. You need a key card to get in and OUT. Don’t turn in your keys before you get your car out the last day. Be aware of the daily resort fee. WiFi in rooms is extra on top of other fees. Staying in the tower was closer to the park and had nice views. Most of the staff inside wore masks but only about 20% of guests. The sheer size of the common areas made it easy to practice social distancing. The sanitizer stations were always empty as were many soap dispensers in bathrooms. Bring your own if you want clean hands. Maid services had to be scheduled and there are no trash bags in the room, which made disposal of food a little difficult. However, requests for towels and pillows to guest services were prompt and appreciated. The fridge was a larger mini version that could hold two gallons of milk and room for drinks and racks. No microwave in the room despite being listed as an amenity for our tower room. There’s lots of food options nearby with outside seating. We enjoyed barbecue at Ferris Wheelers. They had live music in their “backyard” area and great service. For nicer outside meals, consider the restaurants at Trinity Grove (10 minute easy drive, no freeway needed). Free parking, lots of options and covered backyard tables with misters and fans kept it enjoyable despite the 100 degree heat. Denny’s takeout across the street was a good (cheap) alternative to hotel options. We also had sandwiches from Meltdown that were fantastic (DoorDash). We enjoyed the zoo. All tickets and parking must be bought in advance and are limited. We rode the free trolley through uptown. Free parking at the uptown station. It stops at Klyde warren park, which had tons of food trucks and ice cream. Overall it was an enjoyable stay. We’d visit again.

Hotel's Favorite
With a recent opportunity to have another staycation in Dallas, I decided to go to the Hilton Anatole as I have had 2 great past experiences and I wanted to come back for more. Just like the previous time I got offered an upgrade to a deluxe room before check-in. Having a great time with the upgrade last time I went for it. I also enjoyed selecting my room. Upon arriving the staff was very friendly and provided the hospitality Hilton is known for. The room was spotless upon entering and everything was in very good condition. I really liked my view even if it wasn’t the downtown skyline too. The bed was also extremely comfortable and clean. Just like last time I also realIy enjoyed waking up to a view all around me. I was happy to see Media Grill reopened too and the food was great. All the staff I interacted with after check-in were also amazing, Larry and Sheila especially provided amazing service at breakfast too, better than any other hotel I’ve been to as a matter of fact. The grounds are also beautiful and spotless, and they also provide plenty of elevators in both buildings. I did have my keycard deactivate on me one time, but the front desk re-activated it without hesitation, and were apologetic about the situation. This hotel has definitely become my go-to hotel for staycations, and I always recommend this hotel when I am asked where to stay in Dallas. If you are looking for a hotel in Dallas I highly recommend the Hilton Anatole, you will not be disappointed!

Charged for items not mine and refused to take care of it. No staff. Poor customer service. Over all a horrible hotel. Will never be back. Will not host an event or attend one. The valet was so lazy they did not want to park our car. The Atrium tower had no staff.

The stay was perfect for our family. We really enjoyed the pool area and games. Service was amazing by every employee that we came in contact with. I do wish the double beds were a little bit bigger but they were comfortable.

This place reminds of my grandparent’s basement. It was probably nice at some point, but was long ago. My grandparents at least served food. We never saw any restaurant, other than a premade sandwich shop, open. The pool’s not bad, but it was crowded AF and we were here on a weekday. For $360/night, the place should at least answer the phone. Don’t waste your money. (Pic below is of the empty, closed lobby bar.)
