Travelers' Choice
With a single step inside the historic landmark Warwick Melrose - Dallas, guests know what it means to be in the right place at the right time. Warwick Melrose Dallas's uniquely Texan charm features a new, fashionable brand of comfort. Built in 1924, on farmland originally owned by American Civil War veteran, Confederate Col. George Mellersh, and designed by Chicago architect C.D. Hill in the classic Sullivanesque Chicago style. The Melrose Court Apartment Hotel opened in late 1924, and quickly became known for its elegant atmosphere and gracious hospitality. The red brick and flat roof of Warwick Melrose - Dallas has stood as testament to an age of stately grandeur while the city has continued to grow outside its doors. Located near the Uptown, Oak Lawn and Turtle Creek areas, the ultimate hotel experience means enjoying Uptown Dallas to the fullest in an intimate and personable way.

No concern about Covid safety. They’d rather you show up sick than cancel your reservation and refund you. I’m speechless, but not at all surprised. That’s Texas for you. I was supposed to drive up to Dallas for one night but I’m sick, so I was going to stay home. But, this lovely hotel won’t let me cancel without charging me. Their policy is that they charge you one night, but since I’m only staying one night, that’s a 100% penalty. Nope. Not a good policy. Read the room. The world has changed. We need to be better and kinder and look out for people. Corporate greed is so pre-pandemic. Get a clue.

This hotel has potential. The pool is beautiful, it's somewhat convenient for downtown access (not walking though), and it has a neat history. However, we had issues during our stay that have not been resolved. 1) I booked through a prepaid reservation. On check out, my card would have been charged the full amount. Another hold was placed on my account for a lesser amount. I called and was told they'd be removed. They have now charged me for the room. 2) Parking is expensive - $29.23 a night. I drive a standard, but the people running valet when I arrived could not drive a standard. They had me move the car out of the way for them. 2 hours later, it still had not been parked. I was able to go myself to dinner, and when I got back, there was a very nice guy who did park my car and could drive standard. Thankfully he was there also when I needed my car back the next day. 3) There was a Snickers bar wrapper laying on the floor in my room when I arrived. 4) We asked when breakfast would open and were told 7 AM on Sunday. The next day, we went to get breakfast, but everything was locked up. We waited about 10 minutes, but nobody ever showed up to open the dining room. We ended up leaving for a nearby pancake restaurant that was great. It was slightly annoying to not be able to eat breakfast here, because the menu sounded great. 5) The gym is not open prior to 6 am. This is too bad, because it was nice, and I wanted to get in a good workout at 5:15 am.

Hi Laura, Thank you for the review and I am sorry to read of the missteps you encountered during your stay. I have taken your feedback and addressed the issues with all of the appropriate Department Heads. This is certainly not the type of service the Warwick Melrose Hotel is known for delivering and we are committed to improving our Operation. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me personally if you wish to return so I can personally oversee your reservation. Best regards,

The Warwick Melrose in Dallas is a must stay! Beautiful hotel in the perfect downtown location, but it's the people at the WM that made our stay incredible. Upon arrival Samuel was amazing and he continued to go above and beyond. The live music in The Library piano bar was spectacular, we will definitely return!!
