Everything about this place is amazing. From the time you walk into the lobby to the moment you enter your room, you feel like you are surrounded by luxury and comfort. The staff was very welcoming and quick with getting me to my room. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate. And the room had a small balcony that opened up over the roundabout entrance to the property. As a seasoned traveler, I can confidently say this was one of the most comfortable experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. The bar and restaurant were incredible as well. The food was 11 out of 10. And ambiance and decor of both the bar and restaurant are unforgettable. Can’t wait to return some day with my wife! IMO, one of the best, if not the best, hotel in Dallas. Go see for yourself!…
If you are deciding where to stay in Dallas, this is it! Everything about the Mansion is perfect - the rooms, the service, the beautiful pool area, the restaurant, the in-room dining ... nothing is left undone as they attend to every thoughtful detail. There is nothing even close, and we have stayed at all the "top" properties in Dallas over the past three years or so. Only one is at the top in our opinion - the Mansion!
We got home from an overnight flight from Hawaii at 6am on Christmas day to come home & find that our hot water had died. In an effort to have a hot shower & a decent Christmas we checked into the Mansion on 12/25. I used the AMEX package with free breakfast, early check in, late checkout, $100 resort credit & upgrade when available. We got an upgrade but it was just comfortable- not spectacular. That being said, the room we’d just left in Hawaii was 6 times the cost of this room and this room was very nice. Our room was ready early at 1pm which was nice as we had been flying all night. The entire hotel is really cozy and it was cold outside. Nice fire in a living type room just off the lobby. The bar is amazing- dark and quaint and warm with a fireplace. The bar tables close to the front door were not warm so do not sit there in the winter. The service at the hotel was great, the gym is really nice but the service at the bar was poor- the waiters will walk right by your table when you need something and not acknowledge you (our food was free due to the AMEX $100 resort credit so that made it better). On the plus side they have ½ price options starting at 4pm. We slept well because it was quiet which we really appreciate. Room service was fast. Food was amazing room service and at the bar. Valet parking staff very friendly. My guaranteed 4pm late checkout was honored but I had to remind the front desk & they had to “reactivate” my key to use the elevator after the normal check out time on 12/26 and the front desk clerk said I must have forgotten to confirm my late checkout... We will come back for happy hour at the bar & hope for better service as the food & atmosphere are great. We have visited two other Rosewood hotels: Las Ventanas and Rosewood Mayakoba several times and they are both superior but we had a great time at the Mansion and were happy to have a good holiday and a hot shower.…
The Mansion is in a nice area of Dallas and in fact we lived next door in the Mansion residences until we moved 5 years ago. The rooms have been redone and quite nice. The employees are very good and some have been there for years. The bar was too crowded and not enough bartenders when we were there. The restaurant when we lived next door was famous for Southwestern cuisine such as quail and biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Not any more. You could get the same menu at Holiday Inn and it was a real disappointment. The Health club is very Mike it’s in equipment. If you need personal care items or snacks you will need to get in your car and drive a few blocks there is not even a small area for needy items. The pool is outside and not enclosed. A real bad decision as Dallas is cold from Nov to May Nice hotel good location but for a similar price we will stay at the Ritz next time which has more amenities.…
We overall enjoyed our stay at the Rosewood. Good service and nice, clean, luxurious rooms, as is expected from a Rosewood hotel. A couple of quibbles - there is very little storage for clothes and other items in the room in general. The bathroom was a big tight such that we had to shimmy out from the toilet if the door was open. There was also very little storage for toiletries, etc in the bathroom and there was only one sink with a small counter. Similarly, there was almost no room for our clothes - only two small drawers in the room, although the closet itself was adequate. Also, we happened to stay during one of the worst cold spells in Dallas (around Christmas 2022). The door to the patio was not sealed properly so there was a significant draft in the room. Meals at the hotel including the restaurant and the bar were good.…
We go to Dallas a couple of times a year to visit our son, who is a student at SMU. We usually stay at the Ritz. We have also stayed at Crescent Court. I wanted to try the Mansion because of its overall positive reviews and longstanding reputation. We stayed in a one bedroom suite for 2 nights. The suite itself was very nice. The decor felt like you would find in someone's home - lots of books on the shelf, interesting decor throughout the room. But there were just too many small things that did not impress us. Our room had two phones and two tv remotes, but only one of each worked. When we went to the gym, one of the elliptical machines and one of the recumbent bikes did not work. Plus the space just felt dated. Same for the pool - it just felt tired. The toiletries in the rooms were scented Cowboy Grass. While I can appreciate the Texas connection, I dug into the samples in my own bag instead of using these items. I don't know a lot of women who want to smell like 'Cowboy Grass'! My husband accidentally left his laptop at the pool and did not realize it until the next morning, as we were gone all day after the pool. It was turned in to the front desk and labeled as ours, but I was surprised that they did not make a proactive approach to get it back to us. Our room service experiences were good and we had positive encounters with staff throughout the hotel. Hence the four stars. This is a really nice hotel, but it could be a better experience.…
My wife and I recently stayed one night for an anniversary celebration. From the minute we checked in to the moment we left the staff was friendly, engaging and helpful. I had a massage at the spa which was one of the best I have had and it was surprisingly affordable. The room and bedding was excellent and high quality. Breakfast was delicious in great surroundings on the porch. The pool was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely come back again.
Have stayed at this property twice. Went above and beyond both times. Lovely place, friendly, and always make you feel welcome. Stayed there for SMU move-in and not only let me send boxes ahead of time, but they packed the car for us while we ate breakfast. We will be back!
This was our first visit to The Rosewood Mansion and will definitely not be the last:) we loved the history of the Mansion, the architecture and the Hotel! All lovely;) the staff were very friendly and helpful. They treated us as if we had visited there for many years. We look forward to our next stay.
Just spent the long weekend at the Rosewood and I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I have never had such amazing service! The hotel and rooms are beautiful and everyone is so nice. The restaurant and bar are also wonderful and the best margaritas! My husband and I can’t wait to come back and we are so appreciative of the amazing service we had all weekend.
